On the intervening night of 13-14/02/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Mohan Kumar (40) R/o Vasuki Nagara Kankanady village Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and a DVD player all in worth Rs. 60,000/.

On 13/02/2007 in between 0900 hrs and 1500 hrs accused Dhananjaya and Kamalaksha committed theft of 03 bags of arecanut that were kept inside a building belonging to one Ananda Prabhu (55) at Deshkodi Markanja village Sullia Taluk.
- A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 14/02/2007 at 1345 hrs one Sundara Poojary (43) R/o Kalanja village Sullia Taluk committed theft of 'Kanike Hundi' belonging to Sri Shankapala Temple Volalambe at Guttigaru village Sullia Taluk. Further the accused was caught redhand by the public and handed over to the Police.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 13/02/2007 at 2200 hrs Karangalpady Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-5593 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-8203. As a result Shivaprakash (30) R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore, his brother Ramaprakash and Sandeep who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 14/02/2007 at 0930 hrs at Lalbagh Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-2166 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Roopa (16) R/o Kodiyalbail Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 14/02/2007 at 1800 hrs one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ranganatha R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 14/02/2007 at 1840 hrs one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7725 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shanthappa H.N. DySP Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 14/02/2007 at 1145 hrs on NH17 near KPT Mangalore one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MYX-7087 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-42 driven by one Rajesh Achar (27) R/o Veerakamba Bantwal Taluk from behind. As a result the car got damaged. No causalities reported.

No. KA-19-A-1341 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Koragappa (70) R/o Modankapu Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 14/02/2007 at 1500 hrs accused Anantheshwara and his wife Jayalakshmi abused one Bharath Deraje R/o Kalubailu Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 14/02/2007 at 1500 hrs accused one Bharath Deraje R/o Kalubailu Aranthodu village criminally trespassed into the house of one Anantheshwara R/o Kalubailu Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk and abused him and his wife Jayalakshmi in filthy language and assaulted them with sickle and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 14/02/2007 1700 hrs one Narayana Naik (44) R/o Dolpady village Puttur Taluk was accidentally fell down from a tree near his house and got serious injuries. He was admitted to Sullia Govt. hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day.
