- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 17/10/2008 at 1330 hrs near Ladygoshan at Mangalore one unknown auto rickshaw driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Padmamani N. R/o Police Line Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 19/10/2008 at 1945 hrs near Mandy at Kudroli Mangalore one Mohammed Ashbhak rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-14-K-2147 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result one Nooman (18) R/o Kudroli Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-20-A-1379 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which lorry capsized. As result lorry got damaged. No causality reported.

No. KA-19-B-6563 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Laxmi (26) R/o Padnoor village Bantwal Taluk, Parvathi and Kirthana who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-D-052 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Sacchindra (25) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.

On 18/10/2008 at 1145 hrs at Mura Kabaka village Puttur Taluk one Bhaskara driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-2140 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6218. As a result auto rickshaw driver Narayana, Abdul Khadar (18) R/o Kodippady village Puttur Taluk, Isamma, Abdul Safan and Nafiya who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Narayana Shetty (55) R/o Dorjalu Laila village Belthangady Taluk was injured due to snake bite near his house on 19/10/2008 at 0700 hrs. He was admitted to Govt. hospital at Belthangady Taluk where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 0945 hrs.
