  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 26/02/2009 at 1330 hrs and 27/02/2009 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Anganawadi at Bambila Kavalapadooru village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the window grills and committed theft of aluminum vessels and glossary item all in worth Rs. 3,500/.
  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Konaje Police Station. In between 26/02/2009 at 0830 hrs and 27/02/2009 at 0730 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Shri Thodakukkinaar temple at Kananthooru Balepuni village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door locks and committed theft of gold ornaments (280 grams), silver ornaments (825 grams) and cash Rs. 2,000/ all in worth Rs. 3,37,000/.

  • A case under M.V. Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 25/02/2009 at 1700 hrs and 26/02/2009 at 0800 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Tata Sumo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-9603 belonging to one Mahammad Farooque (37) R/o Jokatte Mangalore that was parked near his house. The worth of Tata Sumo is Rs. 1, 00,000/.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore North Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1920 hrs at Jyothi circle Mangalore one Hemanth driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-3 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-4922 driven by one Sushmitha Hegde R/o Kadri Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No casualty reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1050 hrs at Sharbathkatte Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2337 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-9394 driven by Rahul (22) R/o near K.P.T Mangalore. As a result motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 0610 hrs near R.T.O at Mangalore one unknown driver of Maruti car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one unknown pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further the car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

  • A case under Rioting, Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1630 hrs accused Shripathi Rao, Vedavyasa Rao and others forming into unlawful assembly Subbara Kodi at Permude village Mangalore Taluk and criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Leena D’ Souza R/o Subbara Kodi at Permude village Mangalore Taluk and abused one Poovappa G.K in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

  • A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 26/02/2009 at 2340 hrs accused Karthik, Jinaraj Shetty and others criminally restrained one Sachin (33) R/o Alape Mangalore near Talapady Mangalore and assaulted him by hand and with chairs owing trivial issue.
  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 26/02/2009 at 2330 hrs accused sachin, Ranjith and Praveen abused one Karthik (24) near Talapady Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Seizure of Stolen property has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1545 hrs on routine patrolling PSI Crime Ullal PS intercepted an Esteem car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-6644 near steel factory at Olavinahalli Talapady village Mangalore Taluk and seized (132) mobile phones and aluminium sheets by arresting Irshad (24) R/o Chembugudde Permannuru village Mangalore Taluk, Imran (20) R/o Kasaba Bengre Mangalore and Shameer @ Mahammad Shameer (20) R/o Chembugudde Permannutru village Mangalore Taluk. It is learnt that these mobiles and aluminium sheets have been stolen from Maroli Mangalore. The car also as been seized. The total value of property seized is Rs. 1,25,900/.
  • A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 26/02/2009 at 1630 hrs at AMR power project at Shambooru village Bantwal Taluk Safaida R/o Bihar State while walking iron rod accidentally collapsed over him due to the negligence of B. Basha & Sons Company and contractor one Asif and got serious injuries and died on the spot.

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 26/02/2009 at 1430 hrs and 27/02/2009 at 1030 hrs one Gururaj Pai (26) R/o Moojooru Padangadi village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison owing to personal problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 26/02/2009 at 1100 hrs and 27/02/2009 at 0900 hrs one Lokesh Gowda R/o Suntiadka Aramthodu village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison owing to health problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1215 hrs one Vasanthi Poojarthi (40) R/o Neerapalke Pucchamogaru village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison owing to health problem.
