On 16/04/2007 at 1700 hrs on credible information PI Surathkal PS along with his staff conducted a raid on public place near Sharada compound at Surathkal Idya village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 16 persons were found playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 2,783/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Moosa @ Cheriyan, Narayana Shetty Katipalla, Ramesha Bangera Mukka, Hasan Bajal, Selvester D’Souza, Donald, Vijaya Karkera Mukka, Deepak Katipalla, Narayana Palimar, Shankara Moolya Katipalla, Kumar M.B. Madya, Bashir Haleyangady, Sathish Kulaigudde, Lingappa Mukka, Usman Katipalla and Sundara Padupadavu who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Surathakal PS U/s 87 of the Karnataka Police Act.
