On 02/12/2009 at 1920 hrs a police team consisting of PSI Panambur PS along with staff on specific information conducted raid at open place near IOC at Thanneerbhavi Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 09 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. Police seized cash Rs. 1,830/, and playing cards from the spot by Edward Mekri D’souza, Bhavu, Arun Kumar M.B, Praveen Poojary, Charan, Dayananda, Rukmaya S, K.S. Kittanna and Ashok Gowda who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Panambur PS U/s 87 of the Karnataka Police Act.
Similarly, another raid on Gambling has been the Team of DySP Panambur. Details are that on 02/12/2009 at 1630 hrs on specific information DySP Panambur along with staff conducted raid on open place at BPCL Plant Baikampady Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 08 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. Police seized cash Rs. 7180/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting one Ramanatha Shetty (39). However 07 persons managed to escape from the scene.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Panambur PS U/s 80 of the Karnataka Police Act.
