Puttur Rural Police Bust Liquor Smuggling To Kerala

On 7.12.2005 at about 13.45 hrs at a place called Sulliapadavu of Puttur Rural PS limits PSI Sri Krishna Naik and his staff who were on routine patrolling intercepted a Santro car on suspicion and after checking it found 5250 sachets of arrack worth about Rs.52,500/- which was on its way to bodering kerala. the material along with the vehicle were seized and also arrested the two accused persons viz., 1) Ashraf and 2) Raghavendra Shenoy, both residents of Kasaragod. In this regard a case in Puttur Rural Police Station has been registered and the accused persons produced before the jurisdictional court.
