- A case of Murder has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 1530 hrs near Lakshmi Narayana Traders shop at Mani village Bantwal Taluk accused Surendra @ Thamma, Jagga @ Jagadhish and Harish Dasakodi were murdered one Shiva @ Shivarama Rai (31) by stabbing with knife and with sword. Motive seems to be some financial dispute between deceased Shivarama Rai and accused persons.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 01/11/2007 at 1205 hrs in front of Ashokanagara Post office at Urwastores Mangalore one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-6972 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and without giving any signal turned his vehicle to right side and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CRX-2544. As a result Girish rider of motorcycle and Arun Shetty pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries and admitted to A.J. Shetty hospital Mangalore where in Arun Shetty succumbed to his injuries on the same day.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 0430 hrs near Honda Showroom at Kottara Mangalore one Sunil driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-169 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capseized. As a result the lorry got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 0730 hrs on Kalladka-Kasaragod road at Mangilapadavu Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk one Harish Gowda rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1733 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result Umesh Poojary pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 1030 hrs at Panoor Nittade village Belthangady Taluk one Mohan driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3674 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6846. Further auto rickshaw driver lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Sheik Abdulla (26) driver of the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 1040 hrs at Beliyaru Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk one Kushalappa rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-C-3332 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sheshappa Gowda (80) R/o Beliyaru Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk a pedestrian from behind and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/11/2007 at 1030 hrs at Kaikamba Bantwala Town one Shivalingappa driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-F-3714 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Khathinamma, Asyamma and Asay and caused them grievous injuries.

On 30/10/2007 at 1830 hrs at Kalkaru Neriya village Belthangady Taluk accused Paikatu Johny and Biju abused one Ramanna Malekudiya (40) R/o Neriya village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language referring to his caste and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to financial issue.

On 31/10/2007 at 1415 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with his staff conducted raid near Siddhartha Lodge at Mangalore and arrested Shilpa (26) W/o Rajesh R/o Kerala State, Praveena (25) R/o Hasan District, Eshwari (25) W/o Ravi R/o Andhrapradesh State and Raju (23) Davangere District who were soliciting for prostitution there and seized cash Rs. 2000/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the night of 30/10/2007 one Babu (45) R/o Renkenda Guttu Belthangady Town committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 31/10/2007 at 1400 hrs one Krishnappa Naik (60) R/o Nelligudde Kavala Moodur village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 30/10/2007 at 1800 hrs one Susheela (32) R/o Pujardottu Thanneerupantha village Belthangady Taluk and her daughter Rakshitha (09) accidentally slipped into a well near her house while taking water from the well and died due to drowning.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Surekha (16) R/o Mundaje village Belthangady Taluk who went to school on 25/10/2007 at 0830 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing then.
