• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore North Police Station. On 08/11/2007 at 1900 hrs at Central Market Mangalore one rider of Bajaj M-80 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-565 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Hakim (26) R/o Konaje Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Uppinangady Police Station. On 08/11/2007 at 2030 hrs at on NH 48 at Golithottu village Puttur Taluk one Ganesh driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2449 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj M-80 motorcycle bearing Reg. KA-30-E-7835. As a result one Gopalakrishna (57) R/o Sannampady Golithottu village Puttur Taluk rider of said Bajaj M-80 motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 09/11/2007 at 1745 hrs CPI Sullia along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Parivarakana Sullia Town and arrested Shek Mohammed Shaheer (23), Shek Mohammed Zamir (26), Imthiyaz Shek (18), Pradeep Shetty (23), Vijatha Shetty (18) all residents of Vittal Bantwal Taluk and Sharal Shenvy DSouza (18) R/o Jeppu Mangalore who were soliciting for prostitution at there.
