On 20/09/2008 at 1615 hrs on credible information DySP Lottery and Excise detention squad Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Adyapady Kudru Adyapady village Mangalore Taluk and seized illegal liquor (10 Lts) worth Rs. 20, 000/ by arresting one Valerian Macarena’s @ Babu Kutti that was kept illegally there for sale.

At the time of raid Police found 16 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. No. KA-19-N-7875 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Adram (63) R/o Puttur Town a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 24/10/2007 a 1430 hrs at Anchikatte Kadubettu village Bantwal Taluk one Rakesh D souza rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-3027 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-H-9731. As a result John Raphail Fatrado (36) R/o Kadabettu village Bantwal Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-H-9731 sustained simple injuries.

On 25/10/2007 at 0600 hrs on NH-48 near Farangipete Pudu village Bantwal Taluk one Sunil driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-9377 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which bus capsized. As a result Sunil driver of said bus sustained simple injuries.

On 23/10/2007 at 2300 hrs one Ambrose (45) R/o Bappalige Putttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Puttur where he declared dead while under treatment.

On 24/10/2007 at 1415 hrs one Chidananda Gowda (30) R/o Koyla village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Puttur where he declared dead while under treatment on 1500 hrs.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 24/10/2007 at 0800 hrs one Kotiappa Poojary (52) R/o Belalu village Belthangady Taluk accidentally fell down from palm tree while removing tody and got serious injuries. He was admitted to Govt hospital Belthangady where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day.

The said Ishwara Naik was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 30/09/2007 at 2100 hrs at Palla Madaka Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk and admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station.
