Road Traffic Accidents: 03

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station where in one Ishwara Naik was declared dead while under treatment on 06/10/2007 at 1810 hrs. The said Ishwara Naik was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 30/09/2007 at 2100 hrs at Palla Madaka Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk and admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station.

Non-Fatal: 02

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1245 hrs at Panjigaru Balila village Sullia Taluk one Mohammed Riyaz driver of new auto rickshaw drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shifali a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 0930 hrs at Kalleri Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk one Shankara rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. MEC-2457 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Kuttiyappa Moolya (60) R/o Nadugudde Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Shankar also sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 2030 hrs at Kundadka Sullia Taluk accused Vijaya Kumar, Shakthivelu, Rajendra, Shriranga and others forming into an unlawful assembly and abused one Raj Kumar (27) R/o CR colony Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 2030 hrs at C.R. Colony Kundadka Sullia Taluk accused Krishna Kumar, Suresh, Vijayachandra, Udaya and Shiva Kumar forming into an unlawful assembly and abused one Rajendra R/o C.R. Colony Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick. They also assaulted one Sriranga with wooden stick who came to help Rajendra and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1430 hrs near MDL yard at NMPT Panambur Mangalore accused one unknown driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6907 abused one Ashrith Shetty (31) in filthy language and assaulted him with iron rod owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/10/2007 at 1250 hrs accused Rizwan and Musthafa criminally restrained and abused one Ibrahim (26) R/o Mukkacheri Ullal village at Mukkacheri junction Ullal Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to personal enmity.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1730 hrs accused Manda Asif, Ashraf, Habeed and Badal Nawaz criminally restrained and abused one Ibrahim Khaleel (28) R/o Mukkacheri Ullal village near Mosque at Mukkacheri Ullal Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand with stone and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be Ibrahim Khaleel had earlier lodged a complaint against accused in Ullal PS.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 30/09/3007 at 1930 hrs near Sujeer Temple at Pudu village Bantwal Taluk accused Vishwanatha abused one Ramesha (49) R/o Pudu village Bantwal Tlauk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1100 hrs near old bus stand at Sullia Town accused Shivarama abused one Thejeshwara (27) in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Women Police Station. On 06/10/2007 WPI Women PS on rounds arrested four women who were soliciting for prostitution in public place at Mangalore.

Unnatural Death Report: 05

• A case of Unnatural death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1230 hrs one Gopala Poojary (33) R/o Sujeergudde Pudu village Bantwal Taluk attempted to committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further He was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1545 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 05/10/2007 at 0730 hrs one Giridhara (41) R/o Nanda Gokula, Neharu Nagara Puttur Taluk committed suicide by jumping into a well at Kallega Puttur Taluk owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1745 hrs one Shankara Rai (35) R/o Kulalu Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk while working in near his pump house accidentally touched the electric wire due he got electrocuted and died.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 04/10/2007 and 06/10/2007 at 0930 hrs one Annu (50) R/o Valaje Alanthaya village Puttur Taluk was at Chilume Alanthaya village Puttur Taluk. The death seems to be due to consuming some poison.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 11145 hrs one unidentified male dead body aged about 30 yrs to 40 yrs was found at Netravathi river at Pjiradka Kalmanja village Belthangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to drowning.
