• A case under Attempt to theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. In between 06/10/2007 at 2100 hrs and 07/10/2007 at 0830 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into a Cyber shop at Bejai Mangalore belonging to one Vinaya Mascarenhas (33) R/o Bejai Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and attempted to commit theft.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 07/10/2007 at 1445 hrs on Mulki-Moodabidre road at Kinnigoli Mennabettu village Mangalore Taluk one Gangadhara driver of Tata Ace vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6626 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a M-80 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6991 driven by Sujir (23) R/o Rajarathnapura Mennabettu village Mangalore Taluk. As a result one Subhash pillion rider of said Bajaj M-80 motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 07/10/2007 at 1340 hrs on NH 17 near Pavanje Bridge Mangalore Taluk one Suresh driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-5581 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-8703. As a result Maruti car driver Yogish Suvarna (32) R/o Surathkal Mangalore Taluk and Padmanabha who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries and the car got damaged.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1630 hrs at Tapovana Thokur Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk one Ahamed Bava rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2980 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3662. As a result scooter rider Gopala and pillion rider of said scooter Ravi Acharya (23) R/o Madyapadavu Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 07/10/2007 at 1315 hrs on NH 48 at B.K. Nagara cross Bantwal Taluk one Dinesh driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2068 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-485. As a result one Lohith pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 07/10/2007 at 1345 hrs on NH 48 at Nellyady Town Puttur Taluk one Chennakeshava driver of Pickup jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-13-6461 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-04-ED-5026. As a result motorcycle rider one Chandrashekar Nayar sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 07/10/2007 at 1900 hrs accused Majid, Mohammed Althaf @ Althaf, Abdul Salam @ Addu, Mohammed Ismail @ Ismail and Nooriya Monu @ Abdul Khader forming into an unlawful assembly at the premises of Mubarak Jumma Mosque at Kavalapadur village Bantwal Taluk and abused one Iqbal B.A (32) R/o Moodupadukodi village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him and his friend Ashraf and Abdul Rahiman by hand and with sword and wooden stick. The motive seems to be dispute between committee members of said Mubarak Jumma Mosque.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1700 hrs in front of Panchayath office at Kokkada village Belthangady Taluk accused one Ganesh abused one Kumara (27) R/o Belthangady Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with stone owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/10/2007 at 1400 hrs one Mallikarjuna (35-40) R/o Bangalore attempted to committed suicide by consuming poison at Noroll Palke Belthangady Taluk owing to personal problem. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Belthangady where he declared dead while under treatment on 07/10/2007 at 0530 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 08/10/2007 at 0830 hrs one Beno Jayanath E. (39) R/o Kunjirakode Kanyakumari district Tamilnadu State developed chest pain and fell down at Kuloor junction Mangalore. He was admitted to the A.J. hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 0920 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. In between 07/10/2007 at 1930 hrs and 10/10/2007 at 0630 hrs one Sadananda (24) R/o Chandalike Vittal Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to financial problem.
