On 23/10/2007 at 1030 hrs PI Puttur Town PS along with his staff on credible information intercepted a Mahindra Pickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5055 at Chikkamudnur village Puttur Taluk and seized 10 wooden logs worth Rs 20,000/ that were being transported illegally by Mohan Poojary (30) R/o Kudmar village Puttur Taluk, Dinesh (29) R/o Savanur village Puttur Taluk and Husainar (22) R/o Savanur village Puttur Taluk.. The Pickup vehicle has also been seized.
The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 75,000/.
In this connection, a case has been registered in Puttur Town PS under the Karnataka Forest Act.
