- A case of MV theft has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 10/10/2007 in between 2200 hrs and 2225 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9878 that was parked near Shabari Garage Kulur Mangalore. The total value of stolen vehicle is Rs. 8,50,000/.

No. KA-19-Q-6234 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9483. As a result Abdul Basheer R/o Talipadavu Bantwal Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9483 and pillion rider of said motorcycle Ismail sustained simple injuries.

On 10/10/2007 at 1900 hrs at Beluvayi village Mangalore Taluk accused one Javed, Ashoka came in a Omni car and criminally restrained a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-21-C-4939 driven by one Abdul Rahiman M. (65) R/o Hosangadi Maroor village Mangalore Taluk and damaged the bus by breaking glass. The damage is caused about Rs. 50,000/. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.

On 10/10/2007 at 1550 hrs at Manila bus stand Bantwal Taluk accused Balakrishna, Janardhana, Padmanabha and Baby Shetty criminally restrained one Prakasha (29) R/o Manila Bantwala Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 11/10/2007 at 1830 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid on shop at Sulliapadavu Padavannur village Puttur Taluk and seized 48 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,326 by arresting Krishnappa, Umesha and Anantha who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 11/10/2007 at 1830 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Panjimogeru village Mangalore and seized illegal arrack (3.600 Lts) by arresting Pius Cutinha (34) R/o Kudru Kunjathbail Mangalore who was selling these arrack illegally there.

On 10/10/2007 at 1815 hrs one Nithin Kumar (19) R/o Kavoor Mangalore accidentally slipped into pond at Bharath balli Shibhaje village Belthangady Taluk while working accidentally slipped into a pond and died of drowning.
