- A case of Burglary has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 09/10/2007 in between 0830 hrs and 1600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Harish Shetty (42) R/o 5th Block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 39,000/ all in worth Rs. 50,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 10/10/2007 at 1400 hrs at Bypass junction Puttur Town one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-22-A-9109 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-30-H-7989 from behind. As a result one Chethan Kumar (30) R/o Devinagara Punacha village Bantwal Taluk sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Shridhara Suvarna (29) R/o Punacha village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 08/10/2007 at 2200 hrs near Lawns way hotel at Mangalore one driver auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-1914 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Girish R/o Matadakani Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 08/10/2007 at 1030 hrs at Kallagudde Melanthabettu village Belthangady Taluk one Hasanabba driver Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-1655 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj M-80 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-806. As a result motorcycle rider one Vrashabendra (60) R/o Savanalu village Belthangady Taluk sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Cheating has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station on the complaint of Ravindranatha Shetty (53) Branch Manager, Union Bank of India Hampankatta Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Ashoka Shivarama Hegde and Naveen Arornha took a loan of Rs.6, 00,000/ from the Bank and cheated the bank by not making the payment.

- A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Mischief of causing damage has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 10/10/2007 at 1500 hrs accused Arif, Javed, Rahiman and others forming into an unlawful assembly at Hosangady Maruru village Mangalore Taluk and abused one Abdul Razak in filthy language and also damaged his house by pelting stones. The Motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
- A case under Rioting along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 09/10/2007 at 2100 hrs accused Basheer, Mohammed, Abubakkar, Imthiyaz, Lathif, Siraj and Siddique forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons near Gundikumeru Mosque at Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk and assaulted one Usman (30) R/o Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk by hand with stone. The Motive seems to be dispute between committee members of Gundikumeru Mosque.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Mischief of causing damage has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 10/09/2007 at 1315 hrs accused one Abdul Razak driver of bus baring Reg. No. KA-17-A-8699 abused one Abubakkar Sidique (23) R/o Perinje Belthangady Taluk driver of another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8799 in filthy language and gave life threat to him. Further he moved his vehicle negligently in a backward direction and dashed against bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8799 due which bus got damaged. The damage caused is about Rs. 5,000/. The motive seems to be Abubakkar Sidque driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8799 had earlier lodged a complaint against Abdul Razak in Belthangady PS.
- A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 09/10/2007 at 1630 hrs at Mardala Bantra village Puttur Taluk accused Benny Abrham and Juliyana assaulted one Tony George R/o Ivathoor village Puttur Taluk by hand with iron road and also gave life threat to him. Motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
