On 06/10/2007 at 1730 hrs PSI Vittal PS along with his staff on credible information intercepted a Mahindra Pickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-26-5001 at Bairikatte junction Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk and seized 10 wooden logs that were being transported illegally by arresting Suresh M. (28) R/o Padekallu Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk and Jagadish (22) R/o Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk. The Mahindra Pickup has also been seized.
The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 2,04,000/.
In this connection, a case has been registered in Vittal PS under the Karnataka Forest Act.
