• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 02/07/2007 at 0810 hrs at Nandigudde Circle Mangalore one Vijayananda rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-1446 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due to which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Vijayananda and pillion rider of said motorcycle Devananda Karkera R/o Bolar Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 03/07/2007 at 0850 hrs on NH 17 at Bangrakulur Mangalore one Mayyadi driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-AA-7117 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-4826. As a result one Guru Prasad (32) R/o Kulshekar Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under sec. 4 (10) (A) and sec. 9, 21, (1) (2) (3) (4) 23 and 24 MM (R.D) 1957 and 468, 471, 379, 420 IPC has been registered in Surathkal Police Station on the complaint of Shekarappa, Geologist Mines and Geology Dept. On 29/06/2007 at 0530 hrs he along with staff while on duty at Mukka check post found 03 Lorries transporting iron ore form Hospet to Mangalore with duplicate permits. Thus he has lodged this complaint and handed over the lorries with goods and documents to Surathkal PS who were conducting further investigation.

• A case under Wrongful confinement along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 30/06/2007 at 1930 hrs accused Thomas and Anil wrongfully confines Jayaram R/o Karmala Bolvaru Puttur Taluk, Jaya Prakash and another person and abused them in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.
  
• A case under Seizure of Stolen property has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 09/06/2007 at 0610 hrs PI Surathkal PS on his routine patrolling along with staff intercepted an Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7113 at Honnakatte junction Kulai village Mangalore Taluk and seized iron pieces (500 kg) being transported illegally by arresting two persons Hyder (24) R/o Idya village Mangalore Taluk and Mohammad Haneef (21) R/o Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk. The auto rickshaw has also been seized. The total value of property is worth Rs. 8000/.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 03/07/2007 at 1115 hrs on credible information PSI Uppinangady PS along with his staff conducted a raid on open place at Kudrya Nidle village Belthangady Taluk and seized 260 arrack sachets of worth Rs. 3380/, which were being kept illegally for sale. However accused one Sanjeeva Poojary managed to escape from the scene.
  
• A case under section 86, 87, 71 (a) Karnataka Forest Act along with Theft has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On the night of 02/07/2007 at Nadumogeru Maninalkur village Bantwal Taluk some unknown culprits committed theft of a Sandal wood tree from the premise of house belonging to one Shivarama Shetty. K N (70) R/o Nadumogeru Maninalkur village Bantwal Taluk. The worth of stolen property is worth Rs. 40,000/.

Unnatural Death Report: 04

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajepe Police Station. On 03/07/2007 one dead body of one Sukumar (39) R/o Munkkur village Karkala Taluk was found in a highly decomposed stage at Kanikatta Munkkuru village. The death seemes to be due to consuming poison owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 03/07/2007 in between 0730 hrs and 0900 hrs one Narayana Shetty (50) R/oYekkaru village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 02/07/2007 at 0930 hrs one Sridhara Poojary (48) R/o Rajarathnapura Mennabettu village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped in to a well near his house and died due to drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. In between 02/07/2007 at 0900 hrs and 03/07/2007 at 0800 hrs one Kusuma (21) R/o Manibettu Devachalla village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by jumping into a well near her house owing to personal problem.
