• A case of Burglary has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 15/07/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into DK ZPHP School at Siddhavana Ujire village Belthangady Taluk by breaking the door lock and stole a gas cylinder belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane and a fan. The stolen property is worth Rs. 2, 000/.

• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. In between 15/07/2007 and 16/07/2007 at 1900 hrs one Chandrashekara committed theft of 06 bundles of rubber scrap that were kept at farm belonging to one Yashodha K. S. R/o Karikkala Pambethadi village Sullia Taluk. The stolen property is worth Rs. 6,000/.
  
• A case under Attempt to commit Theft has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 13/07/2007 at 2300 hrs one Ananda attempted to commit theft of diesel from the lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3679 by using plastic pipe which was parked near Parshwanath hotel Venoor village Belthangady Taluk belonging to one Annappa Nayak (40) R/o Gandhinagar Karimanelu village Belthangady Taluk.

• A case under Rape, Criminal restraint along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1100 hrs accused one Shashi Kumar (17) R/o Kutelu Amara Mudnur village Sullia Taluk criminally restrained a 07 years old minor girl R/o Kutelu Amara Mudnur village Sullia Taluk near her house and forcibly raped her and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1930 hrs on NH 17 in front of Srinidhi complex at Kulai village Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-5789 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj M80 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-E-2871. As a result motorcycle rider one Ali Mohmmad (53) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 13/07/2007 at 2330 hrs accused Annappa Nayak R/o Gandhinagar Venoor village Belthangady Taluk stopped a motorcycle at Venoor Town Karimanelu village Belthangady Taluk and abused one Ananda (26) R/o Hosakodi Venoor village Belthangady Taluk rider of said motorcycle in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

• A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1530 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with his staff, conducted a raid on a beef stall at Central Market Mangalore and seized 394 grams of Ganja that was kept illegally for sale. In this connection one Harshad Hussain (22) R/o Moodushedde Vamanjoor Mangalore Taluk was apprehended. However another accused Amir (25) R/o Moodushedde Vamanjoor Mangalore Taluk manage to escape from the scene.
  
• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1810 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor along with his staff conducted a raid on a open place near Vijaya Bar at Konchady Derebail village Mangalore and seized 53 sachets of illegal liquor by arresting one Mohini Devadiga (65) R/o Konchady Derebail village Mangalore. The worth of seized property is Rs. 500/.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1000 hrs one Kishor Kumar (28) R/o Darbe Puttur Town committed suicide by consuming cyanide in his house owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 16/07/2007 at 1445 hrs one Tharanatha (24) R/o Ujruguli Madnur village Puttur Taluk consumed poison in his house owing to health problem. Further he was admitted to Adarsha hospital at Puttur where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1900 hrs.
