  • A case under Criminal trespass, Criminal intimidation along with Mischief of causing damage has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 27/07/2007 at 1100 hrs at Kutthar Munnur village Mangalore Taluk accused Gopala Tanthri and other 05 persons criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Bharathi (28) w/o Ananda Moolya R/o Kutthar Munnur village Mangalore Taluk with JCB machine bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3098 and damaged the land and house and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute. The damage is caused about Rs. 80,000/

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 1530 hrs at Valencia Mangalore one driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-9482 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ibrahim R/o Attavara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 0600 hrs at Kalpane Kulshekara Mangalore one Shameem rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-9495 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ismail A. P. (32) R/o Adyar Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 1345 hrs at Kavoor Mangalore one driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-6535 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Electric pole. Further bus driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a Santro Car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MB-1515 and an Ambassador car bearing Reg. No. KA-13-4757. As a result all three vehicles got damaged. No causalities reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 29/07/2007 at 1100 hrs at Manchi Bantwal Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7239 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chennamma (65) R/o Kepulaguli Manchi village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injures.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 27/07/2007 at 1310 hrs at Ujirandi Palye Mankinalkur village Bantwal Taluk one Ashok rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2977 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sajida (04) D/o Kashim R/o Mankinalkur village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/07/2007 at 1130 hrs at Yenekala Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk one Golla Tippesawmi driver of Tempo Trax bearing Reg. No. MKM (T) –J-5560 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-4505. As a result Sundara Shetty (30) R/o Laila village Belthangady Taluk rider of motorcycle and Thyampanna Shetty pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

  • A case under section 292 IPC has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 1645 hrs PSI Konaje PS along with staff on credible information conducted a raid on Mobile World shop at Deralakatte Mangalore and seized a computer, absence Memory cards, and cash Rs. 280/ all in worth Rs. 28,800/ by arresting Kabeer (26) R/o Bantwal Taluk, Abdul Lathif (24) R/o Bantwal Taluk and Rizwan (19) R/o Mangalore.

  • A case under 78 of the Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 2015 hrs on specific information PSI Urwa PS along with staff conducted raid on Shop No-7, Corporation Building at Urwa market Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 02 persons indulging in gambling activity. Police seized cash Rs 480/ from the spot by arresting Yogish (31) R/o Bondel Mangalore and Prashanth (28) R/o Neerumarga Mangalore who were indulging in gambling.
  • A case under the Essential commodities Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 1700 hrs on credible information Shivappa P. Food Inspector, Panambur Range Mangalore, PSI Kavoor PS along with their staff conducted a raid on Fathima Super Market shop at Kavoor Mangalore and seized Kerosene (330 lts) that was stored illegally there and worth Rs. 3,003/. One by Shakir (26) R/o Babbukatte Munnur village Mangalore Taluk the owner was arrested. It is learnt that the accused used to divert the kerosene being supplied from the Government to the publics and sell in the black market at higher rates and make profit.
  • A case under the Essential Commodities Act along with Liquefied Petroleum gas Regulation of supply and Distribution Act has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 1100 hrs, PSI Vittal PS along with his staff on credible information conducted a raid on shed belonging to one Ismail (27) R/o Kodangayi Vittal Padnur village Bantwal Taluk and seized a Maruti Omni car, Auto rickshaw-03, Gas cylinders -19, Transfer pump 01 and weighing scale etc. which were being used for illegal filling of gas cylinders for auto rickshaws and other vehicles. One Ismail (27) has been arrested. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 3,10,000/.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Boy missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/07/2007 at 0900 hrs one Rajith L. Shetty (16) went school from Rathna Manasa hostel at Ujire Belthangady and and did not return to the hostel there after. He has been found missing since then.
