• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 18-19/07/2007 some unknown culprits committed theft of Telephone cable (500 meters) belonging to BSNL that was fixed to the telephone poles at Marike Ankathadka Palthadu village Puttur Taluk. The stolen property is worth Rs. 10,000/.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 20/07/2007 in between 0900 hrs and 2030 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. KA-21-J-8178 belonging to one Manjunatha N.S. (38) R/o Uppalige Bettampady village Puttur Taluk that was parked near Civil Court at Puttur Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 41,000/

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke the breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 19/07/2007 at 1600 hrs accused Lokayya Poojary and Vishwanath Rai both residences of Sarve village Puttur Taluk criminally restrained one Kamala (39) w/o Kariyappa R/o Sarve village Puttur Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her with wooden stick owing to civil dispute.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 18/07/2007 at 2030 hrs near Canara Bank at Jappu Market Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-5391 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Scooter bearing Reg. No. CRX-1357. As a result one Ramakantha R/o Juppu Market Mangalore Taluk rider of said Scooter sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 20/07/2007 at 1730 hrs accused Vijaya R/o Mankeystand Mangaladevi Mangalore and another person criminal restrained Ankith Kumar (17) R/o Kotekar Mangalore and his friend Neeraj near Milagreas College gate at Hampankatta Mangalore and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with cold drink bottle owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Hurt has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 18/07/2007 at 2300 hrs in Masa Hostel at Kodialbail Mangalore accused Ajji Kuriyan, Prashanth and other two persons assaulted one Abdul Salam (35) R/o Someshwara Uchila Mangalore Taluk by hand owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 20/07/2007 at 1500 hrs accused Santhosh and 3 other persons came in an auto rickshaw and criminally restrained one Manohar (30) R/o Bappanadu village Mangalore Taluk at Mulky Junction Bappanadu village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 20/07/2007 at 0900 hrs at Alpe Ivathoklu village Sullia Taluk accused Balakrishna and Bhuvanendra abused one Mahabala Gowda (38) R/o Alpe Ivathoklu village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to civil dispute.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 20/07/2007 at 1115 hrs one Annu Naik while working near house belonigng to one Ismail R/o K.C. Road Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk accidentally touched the electric wire due he got electrocuted and died.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Men missing has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 20/07/2007 at 1530 hrs at Panambur Sea shore Mangalore Taluk Suersh Kumar, Sathish Kumar and Sadhashiva all are students of Sona College of Technology Selam district Tamil Nadu State accidentally slipped and washed away in the sea while they were playing at seashore Panambur and found missing.
