• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 23/07/2007 in between 0900 hrs 1100 hrs some some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop computer belonging to one Dr. Venkatesh Shanbogh R/o Sumana Appartments Attavara Mangalore that was kept in house. The value of stolen property is worth Rs. 35,000/.

• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 22/07/2007 at 1845 hrs accused one Mohammed Kunhi (25) committed theft cash Rs. 5,500/ from the pocket of one Subramanya Bhat (52) R/o Irde village Puttur Taluk while he was traveling in a bus at Renja Bettampady village Puttur Taluk.

• A case under House trespass, Outraging the modesty of woman, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 22/07/2007 at 1930 hrs accused Thomas Pinto R/o Koppala Iruvailu village Mangalore Taluk criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Marry Colaso (60) R/o Koppala Iruvailu village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to personal enmity.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 22/07/2007 at 1215 hrs at Kishananagar Harekala village Mangalore Taluk one Hameed driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5163 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due to which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Samad (18) R/o Harekala village Mangalore Taluk and Abdul Samad (16) who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 21/07/2007 at 1000 hrs at Krishnapura Katipalla village Mangalore one Harish Shetty driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-3402 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7686. As a result one Vittaldas (23) R/o Akash Bhavan Mangalore a pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

Riots: 01

• A case under Rioting, House trespass, Hurt along with Prevention of destruction & loss of property Act 1981 has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 22/07/2006 at 0715 hrs some 10-15 unknown persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the Mazza Hostel at Kodialbail Mangalore and ransacked the hostel and also assaulted some boys with hand who were in the said hostle and also damaged the hostel by pelting stone to the window glass. The total damage caused is estimated to be around Rs. 20, 000/. In this connection Sathish Shetty (26) R/o Kuloor Mangalore, Sanjay Suvarna (35) R/o Jappinamogaru Mangalore, Sandeep Shetty (24) R/o Adyarukatte Kannur Mangalore, Vishal Kumar (29) R/o Vamanjur Mangalore, Raju (20) R/o Konchadi Mangalore and Lokesh (26) R/o Baikampady Mangalore were arrested by Police. Efforts to trace the other accused is also in progress.

• A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief causing damage, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 22/07/2007 at 2145 hrs accused one unknown man and a woman criminally trespassed into the Office belonging to TV9 channel at Bendoorwell Mangalore and assaulted the inmates Rajesh Rao R/o Samethadka Puttur, Wilfred and Sufhan with hand and with steel chair and gave life threat to them also damaged the office. The total damage caused is estimated to be around Rs. 3,00,000/.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 22/07/2007 at 1430 hrs at Madivala Katte Puttur Town accused Rajesh @ Balakrishna assaulted one Dinesh Babu (36) R/o Chikkamudnoor village Puttur Taluk with iron rod. He also assaulted Shashidara B.S.S. (52) with iron rod who came to help one Dinesh Babu owing to financial issue.

• A case under Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty along with Arms act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station on the complaint of one Tyagarajan T. N. (21) Forest Guard. In the complaint it is alleged that on 22/07/2007 at 0600 hrs while Tyagarajan was on duty at Check Post Charmady village Belthangady Taluk seized a Single Barrel Riffle and live cartridges, which have been carrying illegally in a Jeep bearing Reg. No KA-21-4690 and apprehended Damodhara (34), Ramalingam (38) and Kumara (34) and handed over to Belthangady Police for conducting further investigation.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surthakal Police Station where in the dead body one Sathish Kumar (21) R/o Selam Tamilu Nadu was found on 22/07/2007 at 1115 hrs near seashore Tadambail Surathkal Mangalore Taluk. The said Sathish Kumar was accidentally sliped into the sea at seashore Panambur and reported missing since 20/07/2007 and in this connection a case of Man missing was already registered at Panambur PS. The death seems to be due drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surthakal Police Station where in the dead body one Suresh Kumar (21) R/o Selam Tamil Nadu was found on 23/07/2007 at 0900 hrs near seashore Gudekoppala Surathkal Mangalore Taluk. The said Suresh Kumar was accidentally sliped into the sea at seashore at Panambur and reported missing since 20/07/2007 and in this connection a case of Man missing was already registered at Panambur PS. The death seems to be due drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 22/07/2007 in between 1300 hrs and 1700 hrs one Padmanabha Naik (32) R/o Talipady Ammunje village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. One Sandhya (16) R/o Maderi Plasithadka Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk went to Dharmasthala on 21/07/2007 and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
