- A case under Murder along with Arms Act has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 2145 hrs accused two unknown persons murdered one Subba Rao (55) near Ganesh Mahal hotel at K.S. Rao road Mangalore by shooting at him with a pistol.

- A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 28/07/2007 at 2200 hrs accused Krishanappa Moolya criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Sujatha R/o Arkudeleu Dharkasthu Nalkur village Belthangady Taluk and assaulted Sujatha and her father Putta Moolya with sickle. He also assaulted Gangamma with sickle who came to help Sujatha and Putta Moolya and he also gave life threat to them owing to family dispute.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station where in one Louis Cutinho (55) R/o Mundkoor village Karkala Taluk declared dead while under treatment on 30/07/2007 at 1815 hrs. The said Louis Cutinho (55) was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 26/07/2007 at 0915 hrs Kinnigoli Talipadi village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the Fr. Mullur Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Mulki Police Station.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 0830 hrs at Bokkapatna Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-5666 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7347. As a result one Harsha (37) R/o Babugudde Attavara Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7347 and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 0930 hrs near Gandhi maidan at Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1058 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider one Khalandhar (23) R/o Bappanadu village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1900 hrs at Kukkarebettu Nekkare village Bantwal Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6966 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-A-4950 driven by Mohammad Sharif (27) R/o Mani Bantwal Taluk. As a result car got damaged. No casualties reported.

- A case under Criminal Breach Trust along with Cheating has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station on the complaint of one Mukthi (31) R/o Carstreet Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that one Anil Duloyee R/o West Midnpura district West Bengal worker of his jewellry shop at Flower complex Mangalore committed criminal breach of trust to one Mukthi who had given 110 grams of gold block to make ornaments. The accused person cheated Mukthi without returning gold ornaments
- A case under Forgery along with Cheating has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station where in accused Mohammad Sharif. T, Iqbal and Sudhakar Shetty produced the forged documents of Toyota Qualis bearing Reg. No. KA-20-MF-1522 and took a loan of Rs. 4,00,000/ from Canara Bank at Bantwal Town and cheated the Bank by not making the payment.

- A case under Rioting, House trespass, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1030 hrs accused Harisha, Ramananda, Shubhakra, Lakshmi, Lokesha, Shekara and Sadananda forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons and and criminally trespassed into the farm belonging to one Sundara (21) at Beejadapalke Kudyadi village Belthangady Taluk and damaged the farm by cutting arecanut trees and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 29/07/2007 at 1800 hrs accused Abdul Rahiman and Arif abused one Saleem (50) R/o Jaradhagudde Boliyaru village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand and with stone and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Wrongful restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 29/07/2007 at 1815 hrs accused Saleem, Dawood and Riyaz criminally restrained Abdul Rahiman (46) R/o Jaradhagudde Boliyaru village Mangalore Taluk and his wife Asma (40) near his house and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them with knife and stone and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1030 hrs near B.C.Road circle Bantwal Town accused one Lakshminarayana abused one Dennis D’Souza (46) R/o Kaikunje Bantwal Town an employee of MESCOM in filthy language and assaulted him with helmet while he was on duty.

- A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 0900 hrs PSI Brake PS on credible information, conducted a raid on a petty shop at Nehru Avenue Road and seized Ganja (total 700 gms) worth Rs.25,000/ and cash Rs. 5,457/ by arresting Bhaskara Kannada (35) R/o Vamanjoor Mangalore the owner of the shop, Ravi (29) R/o Vamanjoor Mangalore, Shaukth (21) R/o Kudroli Mangalore. However accused Nasir R/o Bandar Mangalore and Imthiyaz R/o Kudroli Mangalore managed to escape from the scene.
Unnatural Death Report: 03
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1300 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 25-30 years was found in Gurupura river at Bokkapatna Mangalore. The death seems to be due to drowning. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One unknown female dead body was found in highly decomposed state in Payaswini river at Kodenchikaru Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk. The death seems to be due to drowning. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 27/07/2007 at 1030 hrs one Savitha (14) R/o Kachigudde Chelaru village Mangalore Taluk sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light kerosene stove in her house. She was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore and there while under treatment she succumbed to her injuries on 31/07/2007 at 0100 hrs.
