• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 31/07/2007 at 1730 hrs on NH 17 at Nanthoor Mangalore one driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-9269 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-5495. As a result motorcycle rider one Rajesh (24) R/o Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk and Lokesh pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1230 hrs near wenlock hospital at Mangalore one Kuka Mugera (75) R/o Mani Kapikadu Bantwal while getting down from KSRTC bus, driver of said bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries. The driver of bus escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 31/07/2007 at 1615 hrs at Vogga Kavalapadur village Bantwal Taluk one driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-13-F-1393 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break due which one motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-3964, which was behind the bus rammed to it from back. As a result motorcycle rider one Ganesh Bhat (42) R/o Vagga Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 2030 hrs accused Thimmappa Kulal, Kishore, Suresh, Rohith, Raghava and Valerian forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons at Shalepadavu Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk and abused one Krishnappa B. K (59) R/o Moodushedde Mangalore Taluk and Prakash in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with stone and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Wrongful restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 30/07/2007 at 1845 hrs accused Khadar @ Anasin Khadar, Mohammad Nasir @ Abdul Nasir stopped the bus at Gundukatte Kairangala village Bantwal Taluk and dragged out one Praveen Poojary (24) R/o Huhakuvakallu Balepuni village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with stone. They also assaulted Ishwar Kulal by hand who came to help Praveen Poojary and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 26/07/2007 at 2100 hrs accused Nizam and Sathisha came in a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-9922 and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Ummar R/o Golithottu village Puttur Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 31/07/2007 at 1400 hrs on credible information PSI (Prob.) Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted raid on Saroja General store at Ayodhyanagar Nekkila Bannur village Puttur Taluk and seized 96 arrack sachets (each 100 ML) by arresting one Ramesh Kulal (35) R/o Bannurukatte Bannuru village Puttur Taluk who was selling these arrack sachets illegally there.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Woman missing has been registered in Venoor Police Station. One Meenakshi @ Kamala (36) R/o Banathapalke Naravi village Belthangady Taluk who went to her relatives house at Kokkada Belthangady Taluk on 17/07/2007 at 1500 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
