• A case of Burglary has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On the intervening night of 16-17/08/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Navdeep Bar & Restaurant at Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Thimmayya Shetty (58) by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 35, 840/.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station where in one Raghu Poojary (70) R/o Tenkayermal village Udupi district has been declared dead while under treatment on 21/08/2007 at 0830 hrs. The said Raghu Poojary was seriously injured by a bus in a road traffic accident on 18/05/2007 at 1000 hrs at Talipady village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the hospital. In this connection a case has been already registered in Mulki Police Station.
  
• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 0930 hrs at Denjodi Gardadi village Belthangady Taluk one Vasantha Shetty driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8531 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Meenakshi (46) R/o Kalleri Karaya village Belthangday Taluk and Dejappa who were travelling in the said auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries. Of these one Dejappa succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital on 21/08/2007 at 0220 hrs.
  
• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 22/08/2007 at 1135 hrs on NH 48 at Valalu Bajathuru village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. Ka-44-793 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Bharathi (20) R/o Dembale Bajathur village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian due which she got serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 1015 hrs at Lalbagh junction Mangalore one driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-1818 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-2512. As a result Kinetic Honda scooter rider one Fedrick Mathais (54) R/o Chilimbi Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 1600 hrs at Nanthoor Mangalore one Sooraj (14) R/o Kaikamba Mangalore a passenger of bus Route No 15 while getting down from the bus, the driver of said bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 20/08/2007 at 1530 hrs at Inodi Kavalamudur village Bantwal Taluk one Chadrashekara driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-7288 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-1844. As a result motorcycle rider one Jagadish sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 1100 hrs accused two unknown persons came in a motorcycle and criminally restrained one Dinesh at Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted him with iron rod and also gave life threat to him owing to personal enmity.

• A case under Karnataka Forest Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 1200 hrs on credible information Head Constable Uppinangady PS conducted raid at Renjala Bajathur village Puttur Taluk and seized wooden logs that were being kept illegally there by arresting Vishwanatha Gowda R/o Bajathur village Puttur Tlauk. The seized property is worth Rs. 50,000/.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 1530 hrs one Mudara (45) R/o Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 21/08/2007 at 2100 hrs one Jayananda Poojary (42) R/o Laila village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to personal problem.
