• A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 22/08/2007 at 2100 hrs and 23/08/2007 at 0830 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into Sangeetha Electronics shop at Mission Road Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of Electronic items and other accessories. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 24,000/.
  
• A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. In between 22/08/2007 at 2300 hrs and 23/08/2007 at 1230 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Lakshman Jogi (27) R/o Padnnur village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold and silver ornaments and also cash Rs. 1,200/ all in worth Rs. 22,600/.

Ordinary Theft: 01

• A case of Ordinary theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 17/04/2006 in between 1100 hrs and 1130 hrs some unknown persons gained entry into the Sri Lakshmi Devi Temple at Dongrekeri Mangalore and committed theft of gold ornaments. The total worth of stolen property is Rs.18,000/.

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 19/08/2007 at 2100 hrs and 20/08/2007 at 0100 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-8043 belonging to one Vincent D’Souza (41) R/o Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk that was parked at the premise of Hotel Moti Mahal at Falnir Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 28,000/.

• A case under Cruelty by husband and relatives, Dowry Prohibition act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Women Police Station on the complaint of one Sandhya Shetty R/o Mulihithlu Bolara Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Harish (husband) and his mother Hemavathi gave mental and physical harassment to one Sandhya Shetty to bring more dowry and on 24/12/2006 they also gave life threat to her.
  
• A case under Cruelty by husband and relatives, Dowry Prohibition act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station on the complaint of one Zainab (22) W/o Abdulla K.H. R/o Adduru village Mangalore Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Abdulla Musliyar K.H. (husband) and his relatives Nebisa, Athika and Mohammad gave mental and physical harassment to one Zainab to bring more dowry.
  
• A case under Criminal trespass, Criminal restraint along with intending to insult the modesty of woman (sec 509 IPC) has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 23/08/2007 at 2045 hrs accused Vaseem (19) criminally trespassed into the primses of house belonging to one Ashma Parveen (22) R/o Kanthavara cross Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and tried to insult her modesty.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 23/08/2007 at 1545 hrs at Ladyhill Mangalore one Mudiyappa driver of Scorpio car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-1101 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-8832 from behind. As a result one Keshava Daevadiga rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 23/08/2007 at 2000 hrs at Falnir Towers Mangalore accused Ravi, Sagar, Ravi and another one all students of Srinivas college Mangalore abused one Vishal Bahaddhur Katka (28) R/o Falnir Towers Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with belt and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 22/08/2007 at 2130 hrs at Melkar junction Bantwal Taluk accused Madhava, Naveena, Yogisha and Purushothama criminally restrained one Maxim Menezes (30) R/o Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to previous enmity.
  
• A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 22/08/2007 at 1745 hrs at Alampadi Kaukradi village Puttur Taluk accused Hameed abused one Badruddin (26) R/o Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with iron rod and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 22/08/2007 at 1715 hrs accused Azar, Sadiq and Badruddin criminally trespassed in to the shop belonging to one Hameed (30) R/o Ponnottu Bantwal Taluk at Alampadi Kaukradi village Puttur Taluk and assaulted him with cycle chain and wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity. They also assaulted one Devaki by hand who came to help Hameed.
