  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 05/08/2007 at 1400 hrs and 06/08/2007 at 0800 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Xerox and Studio shop at Vishwakarma building Surathkal Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Sudhir (33) R/o Chokkabettu Surathkal Mangalore Taluk by removing back side window and committed theft of two camera. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 24,800/.
  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Mulki Police Station. In between 16/07/2007 and 05/08/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Kordhabbu temple at Kubevooru Kilpadi village Mangalore Taluk by breaking front door lock and committed theft of Panchaloha idols 04 and copper Pooja articles. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 12,000/.

  • A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. In between 05/08/2007 at 2000 hrs and 06/08/2007 at 0915 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Pump (1.0 HP) that was fixed to the well belonging to Government Pre-University College at Kumbra Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk.
  • A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 05/08/2007 and 06/08/2007 some unknown culprits committed theft of electric cable (740 meters) belonging to Mescom Sullia that was fixed at Iruvanthamajalu Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 5,500/.

  • A case under Cruelty by Husband, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station on the complaint of one Sunanda (29) R/o Kinyadka Shishila village Belthangady Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Janardhana Gowda (husband) R/o Kinyadka Shishila village Belthangady Taluk gave mental and physical harassment to one Sunanda and on 03/08/2007 he assaulted her by and hand and also gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be the family dispute between them.

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 06/07/2007 in front of Canara Engineering Factory at Baikampady Mangalore one unknown Auto rickshaw driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shashi (39) R/o Thiruvella Pattanatitta District Kerala State a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle. Further Shashi was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 07/08/2007 at 0445 hrs.

Non-Fatal: 02

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 1310 hrs near Central Theater at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-30 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner in a backward direction and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2178 driven by one Prakash Gowda (28). As a result KSRTC bus got damaged. No casualties reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 1245 hrs near Clock Tower at Mangalore one unknown driver of Bus Route No. 5 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-8223 driven by one Geethanjali M. Shetty. As a result Maruti car got damaged. No casualties reported.

Cheating/ Criminal Breach of Trust: 01

  • A case under Cheating, Personating a public servant along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station on the complaint of one Ananda P.R. (38), Conductor of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2149. On 05/08/2007 at 1930 hrs accused one Gangaraju @ Ganga R/o Mallayanahalli Mandya district falsely impersonated as DTO officer of KSRTC and traveled in KSRTC bus without ticket and also abused conductor of said bus one Ananda P.R

  • A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 2200 hrs aaccused one Iqbal criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Mohammed Rafiq R/o Guvayanakere Kuvettu village Belthangady Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/08/2007 in between 0800 hrs and 1430 hrs one Ishwara Naik (50) R/o committed suicide by consuming poison in his relatives house at Kodenkeri Balila village Sullia Taluk owing to personal problem.
