• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with Robbery has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 01/08/2007 at 2130 hrs at Tadambail Surathkal village Mangalore accused Nagesh Devadiga, Harish and Vijay criminally restrained one Santhosh Shetty (29) R/o Tadambail Surathkal village Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and robbed Gold chain, Bracelet and Wrist watch from Santhosh Shetty and assaulted him by hand and with chair and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

Ordinary Theft: 01

• A case of ordinary theft has been registered in Vittala Police Station. In between 28/07/2007 and 05/08/2007 some unknown culprits commited theft of 130 cement sheets from the shed belonging to one Jayarama U. P. (64) R/o Ukkuda Vittala village Bantwal Taluk. The stolen property is worth 20,000/.

• A case under Cruelty by husband along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station on the complaint of one Farzana (22) w/o Abdul Satthar R/o M.K Road Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Abdul Satthar (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to one Farzana and he assaulted her with wooden stick on 06/08/2007 and also gave life threat to her.
  
• A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives, Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of her duty, Criminal intimidation along with Dowry Prohibition act has been registered in Vittala Police Station on the complaint of one Dr. Fauzia (34) w/o Moideen R/o Vittala village Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that on 07/08/2007 at 1230 hrs accused Moideen (husband) and his relatives Moosa B.K, Khathija, Hanif B.K, Mohammed, Zakaria and Ali Kunhi abused Dr. Fauzia while she was on duty at Govt. hospital at Kanyana Vittala Bantwal Taluk and gave physical and mental harassment to her bring more dowry and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 07/08/2007 at 1500 hrs near Hampankatta signal Mangalore one unknown driver of bus drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Leela (50) R/o Ullal bail Thokkottu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 2130 hrs in front of Infoysis Building Mangalore one driver of Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-8185 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against the wall. As a result one Sathisha (38) R/o Chilimbi Mangalore a passenger of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 07/08/2007 at 0930 hrs at Bejai Kapikadu Mangalore one rider of Honda Activa Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9188 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due to which the Scooter capsized. As a result pillion rider of said scooter one Chandrahas Rao. K (52) R/o Derebail Konchadi Mangalore sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Hurt along with Attempt to Murder has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 2100 hrs one Ramesh Maniyani stopped one Albert Jeorge Periera (35) R/o Loretto Padavu Amtady village Bantwal Taluk near his house and assaulted him with sickle and tried to kill him owing to previous emity.

On 06/08/2007 at 1730 at Mahakalipadpu Mangalore accused one Krishna a driver of an Auto rickshaw came to the shop belonging to one Mohammed (50) R/o Halekala Ullal Mangalore and assaulted him by hand also damaged the shop by breaking Showcase glass.
  
• A case under Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 07/08/2007 at 1930 hrs accused one Abdul Saleem (26) R/o Jeppu Patna Mangalore abused one Mohammed Saleem (36) R/o Jeppu Seminar Mangalore near his house in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with Prevention of destruction & loss of property Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 2300 hrs in Kaveri Bar at Bellare village Sullia Taluk accused Udaya Patali, Ganesha, Putta and Damodhara criminally restrained one Jayananda (18) R/o Mudurupaduru village Bantwal Taluk and assaulted him by hand and also damaged the soda bottles by throwing them owing to trivial issue. The damage is caused about Rs. 1000/.

On 07/08/2007 at 1145 hrs WPI of Women PS on rounds arrested one Rathna (30) R/o Kana Surathkal Mangalore who was soliciting for prostitution at public place near Bhushan Bar at Hampankatta Mangalore.
  
• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Mangalore Woman Police Station. On 07/08/2007 at 1130 hrs WPI of Women PS on rounds arrested one Yashoda (45) R/o Kana Surathkal Mangalore who was soliciting for prostitution at public place Service bus stand at Mangalore.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Boy missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/08/2007 at 0830 hrs one Sheikh Abdul Faraz (15) went to Green view School at Sullia Town from BCM Hostel Sullia Taluk on and did not return to his hostel there after. He has been found missing since then.
