• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 01/08/2007 in between 1230 hrs and 1330 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Maruti Zen bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-1899 belonging to one Ramesh Kotian (39) R/o Behind Ashwin garage Kankanady Mangalore that was parked near his house. The car is worth Rs. 85,000/.

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station where in one Mutthu declared dead while under treatment on 02/08/2007 at 1800 hrs. The said Mutthu was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 17/07/2007 at 2015 hrs Yeyyadi Padavu village Mangalore and admitted to the Vijaya clinic Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station.

• A case under Forgery Cheating along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station on the complaint of Janakamma (80) R/o Kottara Chowki Mangalore The alleged incident has occurred in the year 2004 where in accused viz Harishchandara, Mohini, Umesha and Rekha sold land belonging to Janakamma to one Dinesh Gowda by using forged documents and also gave life threat to her.

• A case under Rioting, Wrongful restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief causing damage, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 02/08/2007 at 2045 hrs near Thumbe Bantwal Taluk accused Shareef driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-9977, cleaner of said lorry, Ashraf, Shareef, Samad, Anwar, Ramlan, Althaf and others forming into an unlawful assembly and stopped a Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9617 and abused the inmates Ramesh Poojary (26) R/o Vamadapadvu Chennaithodi village Bantwal Taluk and Shekara Poojary in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to dispute on overtaking of the Lorry.
