- A case under Murder has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 1900 hrs and 2130 hrs some unknown culprits assaulted one Jayalakshmi @ Rekha (25) R/o Kanthamangala Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk with wooden stick and due which Jayalakshmi @ Rekha (25) sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

- A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 17/08/2007 at 2300 hrs and 18/08/2007 at 0300 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Kshema Intems Ladies hostel at Deralakatte Mangalore and committed theft of 03 mobile phones and cash Rs. 1000/ from the room No. 21, 24 and 41 all in worth Rs. 17,000/.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 0730 hrs accused one Deepak criminally restrained one Nanditha W/o Ishwara R/o Mittamogaru Attavara Mangalore near her house and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 1005 hrs on NH 17 at Baikampady Mangalore Taluk one Shivadasa (22) driver of Bullet Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-3425 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Devika (10) R/o Kottara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The Tanker driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 1020 hrs on NH 17 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-7907 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-12-H-7316. As a result motorcycle rider one Ashok Lobo (40) R/o Barkuru Kachuru village Udupi district sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 17/08/2007 at 1600 hrs on NH 17 in front of NITK College at Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk one Mukesh rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-C-7931 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ligory Moras (57) R/o Bajpe Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motor cycle rider Mukesh also sustained simple injuries
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 07/08/2007 at 2000 hrs one Praveena driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-AB-5767 drove his vehicle in backward direction and dashed against one Praveen Shetty (25) R/o Kodambettu village Bantwal Taluk a cleaner of said bus who standing at backside and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 03/08/2007 at 0900 hrs at Karmala Bannur village Puttur Taluk one Prakash Bhat driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-5918 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. MVX-7281. As a result scooter rider one Vasudeva K. Acharya (55) R/o Haradi Puttur Town sustained grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 15/08/2007 at 0930 hrs at Kudraka Thannirupantha village Belthangady Taluk one Prakash Rao rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-14-R-1371 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Suresh M. (47) R/o Thannirupantha village Belthangady Taluk a Pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 1945 hrs at Shivagiri Karaya village Belthangady Taluk one Muneer rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7126 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against bicycle driven by one Abdul Rahiman (21) R/o Balanje village Belthangady Taluk. Further motorcycle rider lost control over the vehicle and dashed against one Musthafa a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. As a result motorcycle rider Muneer and pillion rider Sadiq sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Cheating along with Criminal intimdiation has been registered in Surthakal Police Station on the complaint of one Ananda S.P. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Chethan and Vishnu collected money from Santhosh, Subhas, Raviraj and Hari for granting a job. After receiving the money they cheated Santhosh, Subhas, Raviraj and Hari by not providing the job and aslo gave life threat to them.

On 18/08/2007 at 0830 hrs at Service bus stand Mangalore accused one Chandrahas abused one Pushparaj R/o Polali Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with stone. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 17/08/2007 at 1940 hrs accused Latheef and other two persons criminally restrained one Ummar Farooque (27) R/o Kuttaru Munnur village Mangalore near bus stop at Kinya village Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand with wooden stick owing to personal enmity.

- A case under Seizure of Stolen property along with Ordinary Theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 0400 hrs ASI Barke PS on his routine patrolling along with staff intercepted an auto rickshaw near Sulthan Batteri junction Boluru Mangalore and seized 06 gas cylinders by arresting Deepak (24) R/o Manjalakatte Kavoor Mangalore Taluk. It is learnt that these gas cylinders have been stolen from Bejai and adjoining areas.

Unnatural Death Report: 03
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/08/2007 at 1830 hrs one unknown female dead body aged about 40 yrs to 45 yrs was found at Netravathi Snanagatta at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to consuming some poison.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 01/08/2007 at 1100 hrs one Radhakrishna (55) R/o Yenekidu village Sullia Taluk accidentally fell down from a tree near his house while removing Jack fruit and got seriously injured. He was admitted to K.S.Hegde Hospital at Deralakatte Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on 18/08/2007 at 0430 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station where in the dead body of Raju @ Rajashekara (23) R/o Kommanal village Shimoga district has been found near Ramya Subramanya village Sullia Taluk on 19/08/2007 at 1000 hrs. The said Raju @ Rajashekara (23) was reported missing from Subramanya PS since 14/08/2007 and in this connection a case of Man missing was already registered at Subramanya PS. The death seems to be due drowning.
