On 17/08/2007 at 1500 hrs near Manuru Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk, one Devaki Shetty (68) R/o Manur Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk was on her way to home by walk. At that time one unknown person aged about 30 yrs to 32 yrs approached her and pushed her and snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away.The value of the property is Rs. 12,000/.

No. KA-03-X-7855 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-N-8883 driven by one Dr. Kishore Chandra Prasad (54) R/o Dongarakeri Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.

They also assaulted Rupesh who came to help Shiva Prasad and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

On 17/08/2007 at 0905 hrs accused Narayana Naik, Vinod and Shareef stopped the bus at Renja Bettampady village Puttur Taluk and dragged the conductor of said bus one Santhosh K. Rao (32) R/o Vittla Bantwal Taluk and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/08/2007 at 2100 hrs accused Lawrence (25) R/o Janatha colony Mupperiya village Sullia Taluk abused one Umesha (25) R/o Janatha colony Mupperiya village Sullia Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with Screwdriver. He also assaulted Ramesha who came to help Umesha with Screwdriver and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

On 17/08/2007 in between 0930 and 1030 hrs one Saleem T.A. who was in Judicial custody at Sub jail Bejai Mangalore attempted to commit suicide by striking his head against the wall and he also gave life threat to one Ishwara Naik, Superintendent, Sub Jail Mangalore and his staff.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 14/08/2007 accused Abdul Aziz (37), Ganesh Bangera (34) and Isubu M. (52) forcibly entered the government land at Sarve Keminje village Puttur Taluk and abused one Nagendra Prasad Prob. Asst. Commissioner Puttur Taluk in filthy language while he was on duty at there.

- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 16/08/2007 in between 0300 hrs and 0600 hrs one Jayanthi Poojary (22) R/o Gramachavadi Pajiru village Bantwal Taluk left her house and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
