On 19/09/2008 in between 1300 hrs and 1500 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Asma (38) R/o Bairikatte Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft gold ornaments and cash Rs.3000 all in worth Rs. 21,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 20/09/2008 at 1445 hrs at Manikkara Kolthige village Puttur Taluk one Chennappa driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-F-7553 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-7408. As a result one Dugappa Gowda (42) R/o Nettaru Bellare village Puttur Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 20/09/2008 at 0845 hrs at Adkar Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk one Nagaraja driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2087 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-5180. As a result Abdul Razak (28) R/o Sullia Town driver of Omni car, Kamalaksha Nayak, Batya and Sridhara who were traveling in the said Omni car sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 20/09/2008 at 1615 hrs on credible information DySP Lottery and Excise detention squad Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Adyapady Kudru Adyapady village Mangalore Taluk and seized illegal liquor (10 Lts) worth Rs. 20, 000/ by arresting one Valerian Macarena’s @ Babu Kutti that was kept illegally there for sale.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 20/09/2008 at 1630 hrs one Vasudeva (17) R/o Indabettu Kallamundkur village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into a well near his house while taking water from the well. Further he died on the way to hospital. The death seems to be due to drawing.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 20/09/2008 at 1900 hrs one Raghu Ameen (53) R/o Ontikatte Marpady village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the well near his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 17/09/2008 at 1000 hrs one Manjula (17) Kamaje Bantwal Town committed suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 19/09/2008 at 1900 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 65 yrs was found near Primary Health Centre at Belthangady Town. It seems to be a case of some illness.
