Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 03/09/2007 at 1715 hrs at Pandeshwara Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-14-A-6465 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3120 and a Maruti Omni bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-8802. As a result auto rickshaw driver Arun D' Souza (30) R/o Joseph Nagara Jeppu Mangalore and Abdul Azeez (65) who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries. Further Abdul Azeez succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station where in one Harishchandra Hegde has been declared dead while under treatment on 03/09/2008 at 1345 hrs. The said Harishchandra Hegde was seriously injured by a bus in a road traffic accident on 02/09/2008 at 0815 hrs near bus stand at Kinnigoli Thalipady village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the A. J. Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Mulki Police Station.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 03/09/2008 at 1730 hrs near Gowri Mata at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-3752 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shivarama Kumar a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 03/09/2008 at 1210 hrs at Pavoor Mangalore one Harish Poojary driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8989 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3824. As a result motorcycle rider Naveen Kumar (28) R/o Pavoor Mangalore and Santhosh Kumar pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 03/09/2008 at 1700 hrs at Amai Kadambady village Puttur Taluk one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-7989 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-502. As a result motorcycle rider Abdul Shakeer (24) R/o Kedambady village Puttur Taluk and Haris pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 2130 hrs accused Bapi Kunhi, Muthalib and Razak criminally restrained one Haji Mohideen Shafee (53) R/o Kambalabettu Vittal Mudnoor village Bantwal Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be that one Haji Mohideen Shafee had earlier lodged a complaint against accused persons in Vittal Police Station.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 03/09/2008 at 0800 hrs accused Abdul Kareem and Ayeesha criminally restrained one Nisar (20) R/o Gandhinagara Charmady village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted with stone owing to trivial issue.
