• A case of Outraging the modesty of women, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On the night of 10-11/09/2008 accused one Asif K. A (19) tried to outraged the modesty of one Fowziya (24) W/o Ziyavulla R./o Bangarakodi Bolanthoor village Bantwal Taluk by pulling her dress in her house and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 12/09/2008 at 1500 hrs near Circuit house at Kadri Mangalore one Chandrakantha driver of Mini lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7859 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-386. As a result one Thejas Mehtha (37) R/o Kodialguttu Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 12/09/2008 at 2100 hrs at Kuntikana Mangalore one driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6682 drove his vehicle in a backward direction and dashed against the compound wall belonging to one Devadas Devana (59) R/o Kuntikana Mangalore. As a result compound wall collapsed. No causalities reported. The damage caused is about 15, 000/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 11/09/2008 at 1500 hrs at Kotebagilu Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk one Ahammad driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4194 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-2641. As a result one Sadhashiva (38) R/o Thakode Karinja village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 11/09/2008 at 1830 hrs on NH 48 at Kaikamba Bantwal Town one Prashantha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-5809 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sadananda a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 11/09/2008 at 1130 hrs at Kanchila Sajipa nadu village Bantwal Taluk one Rahiman driver of Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-3191 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-B-5678. As a result one Abbas (32) R/o Marankala Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk driver of said jeep, Rukiya, Nafisa and Nasima who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 12/09/2008 at 1230 hrs accused Noopan D.K.M. (20) R/o Kaikamba Badaga Uliyapady village Mangalore Taluk and two other persons came in a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-3600 and criminally restrained one Sudhakara K (22) R/o Hosmaru Karkala Taluk at Pandith house Kuttharu Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand also gave life threat to him owing trivial issue.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 11/09/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Sanjeev Gowda, Dhinesh Gowda, Venkatesh Gowda and Sesamma Gowda abused one Anni Gowda (58) R/o Karpadi Putthila village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with wooden stick. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

• A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 11/09/2008 at 1830 hrs accused Anni Gowda R/o Karpadi Putthila village Belthangady Taluk and Mohan Gowda criminally restrained one Dhinesh (26) R/o Karpadi Putthila village Belthangady Taluk near his house and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 12/09/2008 1200 hrs one Jayarama Gatty (40) R/o Marnabail Sajipa Munnur village Bantwal Taluk while working near his house accidentally touched electric wire due which he got electrocuted and died on the spot.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Woman missing has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. One Jenith D’Souza (25) W/o Jeralad D’Souza R/o 3rd block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk left her house on 08/09/2008 at 1500 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
