• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the night of 21-22/09/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of 4 Batteries, which was fixed to vehicles bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4524, KA-19-C-7726, KA-20-2684 and KA-19-A-1424 belonging to one Abdul Khader V. (56) R/o Adyar Mangalore that was parked in the premises of his house. The stolen property is worth Rs. 22,000/.

• A case of MV Theft has been registered Mangalore North Police Station. On 24/08/2008 in between 2000 hrs and 2215 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a TVS Victor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-5972 belonging to one Divesh Divakaran (22) R/o Kaprigudda Mangalore that was parked near KMC College at Balmatta Mangalore. The worth of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 1645 hrs at Nisargadhama Nagara Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk one Naushad driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3331 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-1255. As a result Yatheesh motorcycle rider and Charan R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 1930 hrs on NH 17 at MCF Railway gate Panambur Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-1978 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Hanumanthappa (40) R/o Thadambail Surathkal Mangalore who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 0815 hrs at Puchchala Paduperara village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Bolero jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-P-5 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-4594. As a result motorcycle rider Suresh Poojary (31) R/o Kukkipady village Mangalore Taluk and Yashodhara pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 1215 hrs at Pulitthady Uppinangady Town one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9300 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-1344. As a result Vasantha B motorcycle rider and Vasantha J (26) R/o Kunthoor village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 1200 hrs near Somanthadka Pete at Mundaje village Belthangady Taluk one Mohammed Haneef rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-3431 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Srinivasa Shetty (42) R/o Kalmanja village Belthangady Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 0715 hrs accused Kamalaksha, Narayana, Devaki, Shashikantha, Thulasi, Pushpavathi, Venkataramana and Hemavathi forming into an unlawful assembly at Guliganamoole Markanja village Sullia Taluk and assaulted Navinaksha (18) R/o Guliganamoole Markanja village Sullia Taluk and his mother by hand and with deadly weapons and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Navinaksha and accused persons.
  

• A case under Rioting, Criminally trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 0715 hrs accused Rathnavathi, Navinaksha, Damayanthi and Latha forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the land at Guliganamoole Markanja village Sullia belonging to Kamalaksha (48) R/o Guliganamoole Markanja village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him hand with hand also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Navinaksha and accused persons.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 2145 hrs accused two unknown persons assaulted one Mohan Kumar R/o Kadaba village Puttur Taluk with iron rod at Valacchil Adyar village Mangalore Taluk owing to trivial issue.

• A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 1130 hrs on credible information PSI Surathkal PS along with staff arrested one Salam @ Abdul Salam (22) R/o Idya village Mangalore Taluk and seized 60 grams of Ganja (worth Rs. 400) from his possession. Police apprehended him while he was selling at bus stand at Kana Idya village Mangalore Taluk.

Unnatural Death Report: 04

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the night of 21-22/09/2008 one Padmavathi (75) R/o Vamanjoor Mangalore attempted to commit suicide by pouring Kerosene on herself owing to health problem and got serious burn injuries. Further she was admitted to the Wenlock hospital at Mangalore and where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 22/09/2008 at 0930 hrs.
  

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 21/09/2008 at 2200 hrs and 22/09/2008 at 0630 hrs one Ganesh (27) R/o Amayla Koila village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
  

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 22/09/2008 in between 1200 hrs and 1300 hrs one Bommi (45) R/o Gandhinagara Kedambady village Puttur Taluk accidentally slipped into a well at Indiranagara Kedambady village Puttur Taluk while walking and died due to drowning.
  

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 2045 hrs Kamalaksha Acharya (47) R/o Renjala Padnuru village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
