- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/09/2008 at 2030 hrs at Kudrebettu Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one Jayaram Shetty driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2199 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thaniya Poojary (60) a pedstrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 01/09/2008 at 1300 hrs near bus stand at Ladygoshan Mangalore one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-0004 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which Harinakshi (20) R/oBajal Mangalore who was traveling in the said bus got thrown out from bus and sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1545 hrs near Income Tax office at Atthavara Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-MJ-8362 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8435. As result one Sushith (24) R/o Garody Kankanady Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 01/09/2008 at 1730 hrs at Kotepura Ullal Mangalore one Rosario D Souza driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-5935 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Hakeem (07) S/o Abdul Razak R/o Kotepura Ullal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1800 hrs one Rehamathulla (38) R/o Nehrunagar Sagar Shimoga District accidentally slipped into a pond while walking near Central Jumma Mosque at Bundar Mangalore and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 30/08/2008 at 1515 hrs and 01/09/2008 at 1100 hrs one Hariprasad (28) R/o NMPT colony Panambur Mangalore committed suicide by jumping in to the Palguni river at Kuloor Bangrakuloor village Mangalore Taluk owing to personal problem and died due to drawning.
