Ordinary Theft: 02
  • A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 06/09/2008 at 2000 hrs accused one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1150 committed theft of Mines (7.5 Tone) from the said lorry belonging to one Dinesh Salian R/o Chithrapura Kulai Mangalore. The stolen property is worth Rs. 30,000/.
  • A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/08/2008 at 2100 hrs and 02/08/2008 at 0600 hrs accused Mohammed Aseef @ Aseef, Mohammed Shafee and Basheer committed theft of a lorry Tyre along with Disk that was parked near Kodange school at Bantwal Town belonging to one Mohammed (30) R/o Jodumarga Bantwal Town. The stolen property is worth Rs. 19, 500/.

  • A case under Criminal trespass, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/09/2008 at 1530 hrs accused Sachin, Pallavi and Sumathi and Pramod criminally trespassed into the land at Sudhemogaru Belthangady Town and criminally restrained Chandravathi and her sister Geetha R/o Sudhemogaru Belthangady Town and abused her in filthy language. They also damage the compound wall and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 07/09/2008 at 1310 hrs at Kadambu Vittal Padnoor village Bantwal Taluk one Purushotama driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2616 drove his vehicle in a negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4565. As a result Aboobakkar Siddique (16) R/o Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

Non-Fatal: 05

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 07/09/2008 at 2345 hrs on NH 17 at Bappanadu Mangalore one Lalith driver of Mini bus bearing Reg. No. KA-21-2618 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which mini bus capsized. As a result Pradeep, Sridhar, Girish, Nagaraja, Vishnu and Ranjith who were traveling in the said mini bus sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 2230 hrs on NH 17 at Yekkuru Mangalore one Abdul Gafur rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-E-3715 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-7192. As a result motorcycle rider Abdul Gafoor and Shameer pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/09/2008 at 1330 hrs at Kemmara Hirebandady village Puttur Taluk one Yadhava driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-8614 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shriyanka (06) R/o Hirebandady village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/09/2008 at 1630 hrs at Bedrody Bajatthor village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-9736 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rashimatha (09) R/o Bajatthoru village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The jeep driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/09/2008 at 1200 hrs at Kesarane Shiribagilu village Puttur Taluk one Justin rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-6204 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new motorcycle driven by one Mahesh @ Chethan (23). As a result both the riders of and pillion rider of motorcyles sustaiend simple injuries.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 06-07/09/2008 night one David (38) R/o Jeevana Mithra colony Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Boy missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 0900 hrs one Yatheesh Kishore Shettigar (16) R/o Kottara cross Bejai Mangalore went Canara College at Mangalore and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
