- A case of MV Theft has been registered Urwa Police Station. On 20/09/2008 in between 2115 hrs and 2200 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Passion motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-25-S-2343 belonging to one Ithraj (38) R/o Bappalige Puttur Town that was parked near Lodge at Urwastore Mangalore. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 17,000/.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 26/09/2008 at 1530 hrs accused Shivaji Naik abused one Korapolu (79) R/o Jogiyadka Amaramudnoor village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 26/09/2008 at 1645 hrs on NH-17 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Nagaraja driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-333 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-7916. As a result Honda Activa scooter rider one Sandeep (22) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk sustained serious injuries. Further he was admitted to A.J. Hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 2240 hrs.

On 26/09/2008 at 0915 hrs near Donbosco hall at Balmatta Manglore one Thomas driver of Maruti Omni car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-513 driven by Rakesh Bayaru R/o Mannagudde Mangalore. As a result one Sandeep R/o Kashisadhana Dongarakeri Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 25/09/2008 at 1715 hrs at Yekkaru Thenka Yekkaru village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7543 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thimmappa Moolya (58) R/o Yekkaru Thenka Yekkaru village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 26/09/2008 at 2230 hrs near Housing Broad cross road at Bondel Mangalore one unknown driver of Tata Indica car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-304. As a result one Arun Kumar (36) R/o Pacchanady Vamanjoor village Mangalore Taluk rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries. The driver of car escaped from the place without his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 27/09/2008 at 0830 hrs at Kolnadu Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk one Vijaya Kumar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-1899 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-30-2189 due which Tipper lorry capsized. As a result Tipper lorry driver Mohammed Haneef (28) R/o Kermal village Mangalore Taluk and Aseef cleaner of said Tipper lorry sustained simple injuries.

- A case under 32, 34 Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 25/09/2008 at 2115 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff on NH 17 stopped a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8370 and seized (15 ltrs) of illicit liquor worth Rs.3, 000/ by arresting Bhoja (30) R/o Yekkuru Kankanadi Mangalore and Surendra (32) R/o Yekkuru Kankanadi Mangalore from their possession and also seized motorcycle worth 33,000/.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Prabhakara Rao (72) R/o Mankistand Mangalore went to temple at Mangaladevi at Mangalore on 14/079/2008 at 1100 and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
