- A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station on the complaint of one Fowzia (19) W/o Yusuf R/o Naringana village Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Yusuf (husband) and his relatives Ismail and Bipathumma R/o Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk gave physical and mental harassment to Fowzia to bring more dowry and on 30/08/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Ismail gave life threat to her.
- A case under Cruelty by husband, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station on the complaint of one Johora (28) R/o Valathadka Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Mohammed Kunchi (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to Johara to bring more dowry and on 30/08/2008 at 2100 hrs he assaulted her by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1950 hrs near Abbakka circle at Ullal Mangalore one Rajesh Kumar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4633 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which Sudheer (32) R/o Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said bus got thrown out from bus and sustained serious injuries. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station where in one Janardhana (29) was declared dead while under treatment on 31/08/2008 at 1615 hrs. The said Janardhana was sustained serious injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 28/08/2008 at 1700 hrs at Mavinakatte Chennaithodi village Bantwal Taluk and admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case of road traffic was already been registered in Venoor Police Station.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 30/08/2008 at 0700 hrs near RTO checkpost at Thalapady village Mangalore Taluk one Nagaraja driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. MAU-8431 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-33. As a result motorcycle rider Nagesh Belchada (42) R/o Thalapady village Mangalore Taluk and his son Jithesha (05) pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 30/08/2008 at 1930 hrs on NH 17 at Kuntikana junction Mangalore Taluk one Robert Martis rider of Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8246 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Samil Clinton John Pinto (19) R/o Mandarabailu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 30/08/2008 at 2200 hrs accused Yusuf, Razak @ Adda, Mustafa @ Monu, Kadri, Hameed and Abbas forming into unlawful assembly at Maindala Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused Liyakath R/o Maindala Navoor village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to personal enmity.

On 30/08/2008 at 2200 hrs accused Liyakhath, Latheef, Kashim, Ubaidulla, Nowshad and Ashraf forming into unlawful assembly at Maindala Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and assaulted Abdul Hameed R/o Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and Yusuf by hand with wooden stick owing to personal enmity.

- A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1430 hrs accused unknown three persons criminally restrained one Kabeer M.B. (40) R/o Adyar Kannur Mangalore near bus stand at Ladygoshan Mangalore and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under House trespass along with Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 30/08/2008 at 2030 hrs accused Vishwantaha @ Hukra Poojary criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Dharmanna Poojary @ Ammi (60) R/o Maipala Quarters Hathyadka village Belthangady Taluk and assaulted him with stone owing to trivial issue.

On 31/08/2008 at 1700 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor PS along with staff conducted a raid near bus stand at Marakada junction Mangalore and seized sandal wood pieces (5 Kgs) worth Rs.10, 000/ by arresting Kaleel Sab (20) R/o Jyothinagara Kunjathbail Mangalore and Bhasha Sab (24) R/o Soraba Taluk Shivamog District that were kept illegally there.
- A case under 34 Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1115 hrs on credible information ASI Moodabidre PS along with staff conducted a raid at Kalsanka Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk and seized 67 bottles of liquor by arresting one Ramesh N. Shetty (50) R/o Kapikadu Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk who was selling these liquor bottle illegally there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1400 hrs one Raghunatha Gowda (35) R/o Thiplebettu Badagayedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into a well near his house while taking water from the well and died due to drawing.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 31/08/2008 at 1845 hrs one Thaniya (35) R/o Kallagudde Noojibalthila village Puttur Taluk due to heavy lighting he got electrocuted and died in his house.

- A case of Boy missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Yakshith Raj (09) S/o Nanda Kumar R/o Atthavara Mangalore left his house on 30/08/2008 at 1400 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
