• A case under Cruelty by husband, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Venoor Police Station on the complaint of one Mala M.K (36) W/o Raju Poojary R/o Hosamane Naravi village Belthangady Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Raju Poojary (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to Mala M.K and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 1540 hrs near K.K Gate at NMPT Panambur Mangalore one unknown driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-27-7415 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Siddappa (40) CISF Constable who was on duty at the KK Gate NMPT Mangalore and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to UMC hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day at 1805 hrs. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 0730 hrs at Honnakatte Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Toyota car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MC-8766 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a JCB vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-01-P-6620 driven by one Satheesh (38) R/o Anugraha Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk. As a result the car got damaged. No casualties reported.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Bantwal Town Police Station. On 21/09/2008 at 0730 hrs at Bolangadi Panemangalore Taluk Bantwal Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1253 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mansoor Ahmad (18) R/o 6th Block Krishnapura Surathkal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The pillion rider of said motorcycle one Sharif also sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 1030 hrs accused one Damodhara Poojary assaulted one Vinaya Shettty (27) R/o Kanglaya Kadandale village Mangalore Taluk with Stone near his house. He also assaulted his mother Sharada by hand who came to help Vinaya Shetty. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Vinaya Shetty and accused person.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 22/09/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Sudhakar abused one Vinodh R/o Munnalayipadavu Sarapadi village Bantwal Taluk near his house in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

• A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 1530 hrs accused Sushila, Simpulu, Meena and Muduru criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Kaveri (18) R/o Gandhinagar Sullia Town and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Counterfeit currency has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 1055 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with his staff arrested Bhasha (46) R/o Hosakote Pavagada Taluk Tumkur District, Shanmukha @ Sharath Babu (38) R/o Koodligere Bhadravathi Taluk Shimoga District and Shantha Kumar (40) r/o Kyathagondanahalli Madhugiri Taluk Tumkur District and seized 15 notes of face value Rs.500/ and 1 note of face value Rs. 100/ each from their possession. Police apprehended them while they were trying to circulate Fake currency at Maingate Dharmasthala Village Belthangady Taluk.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/09/2008 at 1530 hrs one Mahalinga Patali (54) R/o Chattekallu Sampaje village Sullia Taluk accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconut and got seriously injured and died on the spot.

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 13/09/2008 at 1130 hrs one Zeena Priya D Souza (17) D/o Leo D Souza R/o Akrkejaru Idkidu village Bantwal Taluk went out from her house and did not return to her there after. She has been found missing since then.
