• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 01/09/2008 at night hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Durgaparameshwari Mahishamardini Temple at Keyyuru village Puttur Taluk by removing the roof tiles and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 39,000/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 03/09/2008 at 0015 hrs in front of Gold Pinch Hotel at Mangalore one Subhash driver of Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-3013 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ranjith Kumar V. (29) R/o Sturrack road Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 1230 hrs near Baikampady Industrial Area at Panambur Mangalore one Chennappa driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-258 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7823. As result motorcycle rider Mohammed Iqbal S. (28) R/o Amblamogaru village Mangalore Taluk and Jayaprakash pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 0815 hrs near Bus stand at Kinnigoli Thalipady village Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-412 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Harishchandra Hegde a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 0300 hrs at Neerakatte Bajatthur village Puttur Taluk one Ramesh driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7340 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-27-A-888 which was parked near roadside. As a result one Sheshappa (28) R/o Chikkamudnoor village Puttur Taluk cleaner of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7340 sustained grievous injuries.

On 01/09/2008 at 1730 hrs accused Shaji, Jacko K.V, Raju and Siju criminally restrained one Deepak (21) R/o Shishila Town Shishila village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 1615 hrs accused Mahalinga Patali and Chaniya Naik assaulted one Kunhi Mera (44) Konandkapadavu Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk with wooden stick near his house and also gave life threat to him owing to financial dispute.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 2030 hrs accused one Praveena criminally restrained one Narayana Belchappada (48) R/o Koithodu Sampaje village Sullia Taluk near his house and abused him filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

• A case under Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 01/09/2008 in between 1630 hrs and 1700 hrs one Renuka (25) W/o Prakash Kumar R/o NMPT Colony Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk commit suicide by pouring Kerosene on herself. She got serious burn injuries and died on the spot owing to health problem.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 1615 hrs one Harish (14) accidentally fell down due some illness near Residential College at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk. Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Belthangady where he declared dead while under treatment on same day. The death seems to be due to some illness.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 02/09/2008 at 0915 hrs one Meenakshi (32) R/o Katte Mane Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the pond near her house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 02

• A case of Boy missing has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. One Vivekanda (19) S/o Jayasheelan P. R/o Neerapalke Puthige village Mangalore Taluk left his house on 28/08/2008 at 0800 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Renuka (20) R/o Mulyakaje Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk left her house on 01/09/2008 at 1400 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
