Burglary: 01

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On the night of 20/06/2007 in between 0130 hrs and 0330 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the godown belonging to one Mohammad (50) R/o Padekallu Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of 550 kgs of arecanut. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 23, 100/.

• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 21/06/2007 at 0430 hrs PSI Panambur PS on his routine patrolling apprehended Suraj (24) R/o Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk, Deepak (20) R/o NMPT colony Mangalore and Ashwin (21) R/o Gandhinagar Kavoor Mangalore Taluk who were found in suspicious manner near NMPT stadium Mangalore. On their search 02 copper Vessels (Hande) were found in their possession. It is learnt that these copper vessels have been stolen by the culprits in the vicinity if NMPT yard. The worth of seized copper vessels yet to be estimated.

• A case under Criminal trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 0930 hrs accused Dhruva Kumar, Thukarama, Balappa Gowda and Birmanna Gowda criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Sundari (48) Mundadka Ithhuru village Puttur Taluk and abused her and her husband Veerappa Gowda and her son Umesh in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute.
  
• A case under Cruelty by Husband, Criminal intimidation along with Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station on the complaint of one Yashodha Pais (30) R/o Pinto lane Karangalpady Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Anil Marvin Pais (husband) R/o Pinto lane Karangalpady Mangalore gave physical and mental harassment to Yashodha Pais to bring more dowry and he also assaulted her by hand.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 1710 hrs near District court Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6561 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4111. As a result motorcycle rider one Pradeep Kumar (31) R/o Venoor Belthangady Taluk sustained grievous injuries. The motorcycle rider bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6561 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 0745 hrs at in front of Bharath beedi company Mangalore one Josie Elphose rider of mtorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6488 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider one Josie Elphose sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 19/06/2007 at 1230 hrs at Jeppu Mangalore one Prafulla (34) R/o Prashanth Nivas Ashram Mangalore while getting in to the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-5443, driver of said bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which she fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries. The driver of bus escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 0730 hrs at Adanchiladka Palthadi village Puttur Taluk one Krishnaprasad driver of a Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-02-M-5959 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. DL-4-SE-7341. As a result motorcycle rider Muralidhara (25) R/o Meradka Kolthige village Puttur Taluk and pillion rider Janardhana (30) sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 1530 hrs at Kavalakatte Kavalamudur village Bantwal Taluk one Sheik Ahammad driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-A-5347 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Esteem car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-N-6060. As a result Ashraf (26) R/o Kavalakatte Kavalamudur village Bantwal Taluk and 02 other passengers who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 20/06/2007 at 1800 hrs one unknown male person aged about 30 yrs to 35 yrs accidentally slipped into the sea at Alive Bagilu Sasihithlu Mangalore Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
