On 19/06/2007 at 1100 hrs PSI Vittal PS along with his staff on credible information intercepted a Swaraj Mazda Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-12-7033 at Palike Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk and seized 26 wooden logs that were being transported illegally by arresting Harish @ Balakrishna (27) R/o Kadambukatte Vittal Bantwal Taluk driver of said lorry and Sulaiman C H. (60) R/o Chandeguli Vittal Bantwal Taluk. The Lorry has also been seized.
The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 3,45,000/.
In this connection, a case has been registered in Vittal Police Station under the Karnataka Forest Act.
