- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 01/10/2006 at 2230 hrs near KEB office Chembugudde Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one Rohith Adyanthaya (24) R/o Mudigere Chickmagalur District driver of Car bearing Reg. No. KA-18-N-1836 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which he lost control over his vehicle and dashed against an electric pole. As a result he sustained grievous injuries. He was admitted to K.S. Hegde hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day at about 2325 hrs while undergoing treatment.

On 01/10/2006 at 2000 hrs near Bunts Hostel Mangalore one unknown auto rickshaw driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-2700. As a result motorcycle rider Rajesh Kottary R/o Bikarnakatte Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

As a result passengers in the Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3911 sustained simple injuries. Both the vehicles got damaged.

No. KA-21-J-391 Ishwara Naik and pillion rider of said motorcycle Madhava Gowda (36) R/o Kanthamangala Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk sustained grievous injuries. The rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-1757 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 01/10/2006 at 1330 hrs one Yogish Employee of Mescom Mangalore while his duty on H.T. line near Baikampady Industrial Area got electrocuted due which he died on the spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 01/10/2006 at 0730 hrs one Sanjeeva Poojary (65) R/o Maangaje house Kavalpadur village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell into the well near his house and died of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 01/10/2006 at 0930 hrs dead bodies of an unknown male aged 40 to 45 yrs and an unknown female aged 35 to 40 yrs were found in Gurupura river at Bangra Kuloor Mangalore Taluk. Both deaths seem to be due drowning.
