- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 26/10/2006 at 2115 hrs on NH 17 near Kotekar Forest Check post Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk one Deepak Gayakwad (33) R/o Ozard village Satara district Maharastra State driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MH-11-M-5032 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-3775. As a result motorcycle rider Vinaya D. Putran (33) R/o Madur Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider his wife Rashmi (28) sustained grievous injuries. Further Rashmi succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 26/10/2006 at 2200 hrs on NH-17 at Thokuttu Junction Mangalore Taluk one Ravi Kumar driver of Tata Sumo bearing Reg. No. KA-07-M-752 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an unknown pedastrian aged about 30 to 35 yrs who sustained serious injuries and succumbed to the injuries while on the way to hospital.

As a result motorcycle rider Rafiq (26) R/o Ira village Bantwal Taluk, pillion rider of said motorcycle Mohammed Kunhi and also auto rickshaw driver Jayantha and Devaki, Shobha passengers in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-7995 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Mohammed Haneef (25) R/o Sarapadi village Bantwal Taluk a passenger in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
