  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 18/10/2006 in between 1230 hrs and 1645 hrs some unknown culprits entered into the house belonging to one Vasuda Pai R/o Bejai Kapikad Mangalore Taluk and committed theft of gold ornaments (32 grams) worth Rs. 24,000/.

Fatal: 02

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 18/10/2006 at 1530 hrs on NH 48 at Sujeer Pudu village Bantwal Taluk one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-9099 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Qualis car bearing Reg. No. KA-12-G-321. As a result Gopala P.T. (51) R/o Muttarumudi village Madikeri Taluk Kodagu district driver of said car and Smt.Lakshmi V.N.S. (35) W/o Dr. Ramachandra Rao I.P.S Superintendent of Police Kodagu District were died on the spot. Smt.Shanthi (53) R/o Ayodhya nagar Medipatna Hyderabad, Likitha (09) and Deepanshu (03) who were travelling in the said car sustained grievous injuries and admitted to Omega hospital Mangalore where in Smt.Shanthi succumbed to her injuries on the same day.
  • A case or Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/10/2006 at 1600 hrs near SDM College Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one Damaodhara (25) R/o Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-13-Q-906 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against an electric pole. As a result rider of the said motor cycle and pillion rider Yashodhara (24) R/o Kalamanja village Belthangady Taluk sustained grievous injuries. They succumbed to the injuries sustained on the way to hospital. Another pillion rider Sridhara (21) R/o Kalamanja village Belthangady Taluk sustained grievous injuries.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 17/10/2006 at 2200 hrs Kedila village Bantwal Taluk one driver of Maruthi car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-926 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mohammed Ashraf G (20) R/o Peramogru Kedila village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 18/10/2006 at 1730 hrs at Navoor village Bantwal Taulk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-909 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2259. As a result Bomme Gowda (42) R/o Teachers colony Dharmasthala Belthangady Taluk conductor of the said bus, driver of lorry and some passengers in the said bus sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/10/2006 at 1300 hrs at Budoli Peraje village Bantwal Taluk one Ananda driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-4114 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the lorry capsized. No causalities reported.

  • A case of Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 16/10/2006 at 1500 hrs at Barimaru village Bantwal Taluk accused Ravi @ Ravindra and Vigneshwara abused one Parameshwara (30) R/o Barimar village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle owing to trivial issue.

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. One Dayananda (60) R/o Mukwe Narimogaru village Puttur Taluk who was suffering from serious illness died in his house on 17/10/206.
