- A case of MV theft has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 26/10/2006 in between 0930 hrs and 1345 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2998 which was parked near Nataraja complex at Moodabidre and belonged to one Kirthiraj Shetty (32) R/o Shanthi House R.F.O. Road, Moodabidre . The motorcycle is worth Rs. 35,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangadi Police Station. On 29/10/2006 at 1330 hrs on NH 48 at Banabettu Biliyaru village Bantwala Taluk one unknown driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-44-847 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. CTX-7084. As a result scooter rider Poovappa Gowda (37) R/o Ajirmane Barya village Bantwala Taluk and pillion rider Divakar sustained grievous injuries. Further, Poovappa Gowda succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

On 28/10/2006 at 1845 hrs near Karavali Circle Mangalore one Kashmir Pinto driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-06-F-0201 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Phelomina D’Souza (50) w/o Alphonzo D’Souza R/o Netharakere house Kallige Bantwal Taluk who was travelling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 28/10/2006 at 1530 hrs near Nanthoor Bus Stop of Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7584 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Karim (42) R/o Krishnapura Surathkal Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-19-AE-5555 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1363 driven by one Sathish P. (29) due which the KSRTC bus got damaged. On 26/10/2006 at 2200 hrs accused Babu Gowda and his son Harish criminally restrained one Suresha (29) R/o Thotathadi village near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted with sickle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

No. KA-19-F-2071 at Kallarpe Aryapu village Puttur Taluk and dragged one Vijaya Kumar (40) the driver of said bus and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to overtaking of the bus.

On 28/10/2006 at 1800 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with his staff intercepted a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3385 at Kolkedabailu Maladi village and seized the 3,000 arrack sachets (each 100 ml) which was being transported illegally by arresting one Bhavani Shankara Rai (30) R/o Shivaji Nagar Kuvettu village and Suresh Kumar (38) R/o Anegudi Bejai Mangalore Taluk. The car has also been seized.
- A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Women Police Station. On 26/10/2006 at 2015 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested two women who were soliciting for prostitution at public place near K.S. Rao Road Mangalore.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 28/10/2006 at 1600 hrs dead body of one Ravi @ Jeeva (45) was found in Gurupura river at Dakke Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 28/10/2006 at 1500 hrs one Suresha (24) R/o Alivekodi Shirali Bhatkala Taluk accidentally slipped into Gurupura river at Dakke Mangalore while fishing in a boat at Gurupura river and died of drowning.
