In between 14/10/2006 at 1330 hrs and 16/10/2006 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Higher Primary school at Manjanadi village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of two Bharath gas cylinders is worth Rs. 2000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Manohar (19) R/o Ullala Someshwara villge Mangalore Taluk has been declared dead while under treatment on 17/16/2006 at 1500 hrs. The said Manohar was seriously injured by a jeep in a road traffic accident on 13/10/2006 at 1130 hrs at Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to Tejaswini hospital Mangalore. In this connection a case of road traffic accident was already registered in Ullal Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 17/10/2006 at 1715 hrs at Mogarpani Kasaba village Sullia Taluk one Mohan Bhat rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-7368 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2238 driven by one Monappa (38) C/o KSRTC Puttur Div. As a result motorcycle rider Mohan Bhat sustained grievous injuries. He was admitted to A. J. hospital Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day at 1940 hrs while undergoing treatment.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 17/10/2006 at 1100 hrs near Town hall Mangalore Taluk one driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-9333 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-56. As a result motor cycle rider one Rithesh Kumar (31) R/o Attavara Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 17/10/2006 at 0945 at Hale gate Navoor village Bantwal Taulk one driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1940 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-591. As a result motorcycle rider one Sheshappa Saphalya sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-21-9075 and belonging to one Padmanabha M. (30) R/o Madavu house Keyyur village Puttur Taluk abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with iron rod owing to trivial issue. The accused also damaged the auto rickshaw by breaking glass.

On 17/10/2006 Vijaya (32) R/o Mithula nagara Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk and her son Abhijit (04) consumed poison at their house owing to family problem. They were admitted to Tejasvini hospital Mangalore where they were declared dead while under treatment.
