- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 16/12/2008 at 2200 hrs and 17/12/2008 at 0500 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Yamaha motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-8578 belonging to one Vinith Dominik Pinto (24) R/o Ashoka Nagara Mangalore that was parked in front of Willies Centre at Balmatta Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 12,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives has been registered in Ullal Police Station on the complaint of one Israthbhanu (28) W/o Mohammed Javed R/o Bypass Kumpala Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Mohammed Javed (husband) and his relatives Kamarunnisa (60) gave physical and mental harassment to Israthbhanu to bring more dowry.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 01/01/2009 at 1845 hrs at Soorikumeru Mani village Bantwal Taluk one driver of Eicher vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7194 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravindra Acharya (57) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further Ravindra Acharya admitted to Mangala hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 02/01/2008 at 0140 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 01/01/2008 at 0630 hrs at Kaikamba Bilinele village Puttur Taluk one Suresha driver of Tata Sumo vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-05-N-6276 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which jeep capsized. As a result Lakkappa and other 5 persons who were traveling in the said Tata Sumo vehicle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 01/01/2008 at 2200 hrs at Porkody cross Kenjaru village Mangalore Taluk one Jagadhisha driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-2209 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. MH-02-GA-2088. As a result car driver Abbas Kunhi (56) R/o Kerala State and his relatives who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

On 02/01/2009 at 2040 hrs accused Paya Ashraf and Shameer abused one Mohammed Azaruddin (19) R/o Azizuddin road Mangalore in filthy language in front of Imperial Hotel at Kudroli Mangalore and assaulted him with an Iron punch owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 02/01/2008 at 1530 hrs accused Sunil and another one person abused one Latheepuddin (23) R/o Bendoorwell Mangalore in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 02/01/2009 at 1100 hrs in the Supreme Motors office at Valencia Mangalore accused Prema, Udaya, Sudhan and another one person assaulted one Ronald Paul R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore by hand and with Helmet and gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 02/01/2008 at 1600 hrs accused Kushala, Purushotthama, Lokesha and Dinesha came in an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6718 and stopped a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1966 driven by one Laxmana (30) R/o Shivajinagara Meramajalu village Bantwal Taluk while he was on duty near Manihalla cross at Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act has been registered in Kadaba Station. On 31/12/2008 at 2045 hrs accused one Ravi abused one Vasappa (30) R/o Kelagundi Kalanja village Sullia Taluk in filthy language at Kaniyur Pete Kaniyur village Puttur Taluk and referring to his caste and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 01/01/2008 one Jayaraja (27) accidentally fell down due some illness at Nettanna Puttur. Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Kadaba where he declared dead while under treatment on 01/01/2008 at 2000 hrs.

- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mulki Police Station. One Thrupthi Jain (20) R/o Padupanambur village Mangalore Taluk left her house on 02/01/2008 at 1515 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. One Eranna (24) R/o Neharu Nagara Kabaka village Puttur Taluk left his house on 15/12/2008 and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
