- A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 19/01/2009 at 1830 hrs accused one Narayana Bhat assaulted his wife one Nalini (40) R/o Papethadka Kolthige village Puttur Taluk with wooden stick near her house and gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 21/01/2009 at 0830 hrs at Bondel junction Mangalore one Rama driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4809 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-02-EY-4656. As a result motorcycle rider Sandeep R/o Vaidyanath Nagar Pachanady Mangalore sustained serious injuries. Further Sandeep succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 20/01/2009 at 0800 hrs at Kempugudde Bantwal Town one Laxman driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1223 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6435. As a result motorcycle rider Dayananda and Sandeep pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further Dayananda succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

On 20/01/2009 at 0935 hrs near Fr Muller hospital at Kankanady Mangalore one unknown auto rickshaw driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mohan Poojary (35) R/o Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 20/01/2009 at 1030 hrs in front of City Corporation at Lalbhag Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-09-J-1338 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sushma (30) R/o Bokkapatna Bengare Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 20/01/2009 at 1800 hrs in front of Saibeen Complex at Lalbhag Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-7867 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8028 driven by Nishitha Thambakad R/o K.S. Rao road Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No casualty reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 20/01/2009 at 1600 hrs on Warehouse road at Mangalore one unknown rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-2319 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-4648. As a result motorcycle rider Latheesha S.Saliyana R/o Mannagudde Mangalore and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The scooter rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 20/01/2009 at 0745 hrs in front of Infosys at Kottara Mangalore one Latheesha driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3369 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-30-B-6402 driven by Janardhana (60) R/o Kuntikana Mangalore. As a result Anu, Anmaja, Aggi Elizabeth, Shalu Mathew and Anju Jose who were traveling in the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-30-6402, Umavathi and Mohini who were traveling in the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3369 sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-N-2412 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Bicycle. As a result one Thotappa M.R. (70) R/o Chennarayapattana Taluk Hassan District rider of Bicycle sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-Z-5066 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Echier Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-09-7957.
