Burglary: 02
  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On the intervening night of 05-06/01/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into Post Office at Kaprigudda Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 10, 900/.
  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 0300 hrs two unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Maha Vishnumoorthy temple at Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold and silver ornaments and “ Kanike Hund” all in worth Rs. 24,000/.

Ordinary Theft: 01

  • A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 03/01/2009 in between 1330 hrs and 1400 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop belonging to one Dr. Unnikrishnan B. C/o KMC Medical college LHH road Mangalore that was kept inside his office. The stolen property is worth Rs. 20,000/.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On the intervening night of 05-06/01/2009 some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6123 belonging to one Vivek Rao (44) R/o Mangalore that was parked in the parking place of Railway station at Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 14,000/.

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 1915 hrs at Marnabailu SajipaMunnuru village Bantwal Taluk one unknown driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2917 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a tiller. As a result one Mahabala Moolya driver of said tiller sustained seriously injured. Further Mahabala Moolya was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 04/01/2009 at 1800 hrs at Sootarpete Mangalore one Laxman driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-370 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result one Poornaprakash (17) R/o Sootarpete Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 0845 hrs near Kashiya school at Mangalore one rider of Kinetic scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-9678 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider one Mohammad Fazil (14) R/o Copper villa apartments near Rosario church Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 0400 hrs near Sandesha hall at Mangalore one Gangadharan driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KL-11-R-7448 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result car got damaged. No casualty reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 1600 hrs at Mallikatte Mangalore one Rahiman driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6138 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravi G R/o Kodialguttu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 05/01/2009 at 1545 hrs at Punarooru Thalipadi village Mangalore Taluk one Praveen Martis driver of Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-5539 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shankar (57) R/o Punarooru Thalipadi village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Hurt has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 1215 hrs accused some unknown persons assaulted one Dinesh Poojary R/o Maji Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk by hand and with wooden stick at Mankude Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 1700 hrs accused Omara, Kamala and Sundari criminally restrained one Babu K (35) R/o Kallagudde Noojibalthila village Puttur Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with iron rod also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/01/2009 in between at 1600 hrs and at 1620 hrs one Ramya (19) R/o St. Agnes hostel room no 23 at Bendoor Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in her owing to health problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/01/2009 at 1330 hrs one Bhavya (20) R/o Hedya Kadirudyavara village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by jumping into a well near her house owing to personal problem.

Missing Persons: 02

  • A case of Man missing has been registered in Urwa Police Station. One Chandrahasa (27) R/o Kodikal Ashokanagara Mangalore left his house on 06/01/2008 at 1330 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He was found missing since then.
  • A case of Man missing has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. One Rathnakar Shetty (70) R/o Alangaru Shirthadi village Mangalore Taluk left his house on 06/01/2008 at 1930 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He was found missing since then.
