- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 08/02/2007 at 1930 hrs at A.B. Shetty circle Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-702 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Activa Scooter bearing Reg. No.KA-19-R-1778. As a result Honda Activa Scooter rider one Hyder Ali Khan (53) R/o Bolara Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 09/02/2007 at 0815 hrs at Kankanady Mangalore one driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-313 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Henry Conses who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 09/02/2007 at 2130 hrs at Bunts hostel Mangalore one unknown driver of Bus Route No.16 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against Bunts hostel circle. As a result one Teena (27) R/o Sulthan Battheri Bolur Mangalore who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 27/01/2007 at 1130 hrs at Kodimbady Puttur Taluk one Mohan Hegde driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2503 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the Tempo capsized. As a result Mohan Hegde the driver of the said Tempo sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under the Essential Commodities Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 09/02/2007 at 1330 hrs Suresh Kumar Asst. Director, Rationing Officer Food and Civil supplies Mangalore along with PI DCIB and staff on credible information conducted a raid on a shop at Bunder Mangalore and seized Kerosene (4,336 lts) that was stored illegally there and worth Rs. 46,377. One by Mohammed Iqbal (47) R/o Bunder Mangalore the owner was arrested. It is learnt that the accused used to divert the kerosene being supplied from the Government to the fishing boats and sell in tha black market at higher rates and make profit.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 07/02/2007 in between 1500 hrs and 1530 hrs one Chandappa (45) R/o Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk attempted to commit suicide by pouring Kerosene on himself. He got serious burn injuries and was admitted to hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 09/02/2007 at 0300 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 09/02/2007 at 0900 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 55 to 60 yrs was found near Nethravathi river Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk. The death seems to be due to excessive drinking.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 07/02/2007 at 1500 hrs and 09/02/2007 at 1330 hrs one Lokesha (38) R/o Amarapadnuru village Sullia Taluk accidentally slipped into the pond while walking near his house and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/02/2007 at 1100 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 25 to 30 yrs was found near Nethravathi Snanagatta at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to consuming some poison.
